I have one oc, hes more of my ponysona though. The full name is Veiled Storm, hes a pegasus. I don't listen to any particular kind of music, I just like certain musicians like, Tool, Marilyn Manson, Gorillaz and also I like mlp and video game fan mixes or remixes. I'm doing ok today.
The best way I can answer this question is, I'm just looking for people that enjoy the show as much as I do. The first place I tried out was mlp forums. To summarize my experiences there, they weren't good once. I made and ask a pony topic there as well and.... lets just in less then 24 ours of the ask topic on everypony I got asked questions. It took about a week before I got one on mlp forums, so I left and I wasn't alone at the time either, they lost some others as well. Enough about that. Just as I was about to ditch the fandom I came up with the thought that less population would make it more of a community. I don't have expectations really and my plans are mostly just seeing what happens, if its better and there's more people that like seeing new members and talking to them I'll stay and have fun. I also ended up leaving some friends, but I'm gonna try to keep in touch with them. Hope with wasn't to confusing of an answer. I know it got kinda Tl;dr.
Weird Al is like a child hood hero of mine. I've listened to alot of his music, and he would have concerts at the fair in my town. He hasn't been to the fair in a long time though, but everyone of his concerts was really funny and enjoyed all of them. Plus I've seen UHF which is also a great movie and having him be a part of the show as Cheese Sandwich was great.
Oooo. That's a painful one and I share that pain. If it wasn't for the few friends I had on there myself, I think I would quit quicker than I did. I still make quick little visits but I'm not active on MLP Forums anymore myself. You'll find that there are many who have come from that community that would share similar pains with you. A lot have found this forum more favorable for community growth and fun. Myself included. If I could be honest, you made the better choice with keeping going and joining this forum. It's small but it's a loving community.
First its good to know that its not me, but a lot of people, and when I do some minor visits it looks like people either blog about leaving or blog about why it feels like no one cares about them on the mlp forums which hurts to see this happen in the mlp community, but I'm also very glad to know that its just the mlp forums that's kinda toxic and not all of the fandom.
Something to keep in mind though is that fandoms are not perfect. We will get crappy forums. MLP Forums just happens to be one of the most well known and the most toxic. Others like Canterlot and Red Light Ponyville are only second to it in toxicness. The thing is, each forum has it's flaws. But if the positives out weight the negatives, then there is something to be had. Everypony, which is this place obviously, is flawed in some ways too. But a lot about how this community works is more positive than negative. Sometimes a smaller size can most certainly mean a better community because there isn't as much of a ego mass that says otherwise and honestly, members are easier to track.
I don't really like any veils. I just call myself that for short because my ponysona's name is veiled storm.
