It felt good, when I signed up the fandom was pretty small (compared to now) and it felt like a safe haven where we could discuss mlp

I must really have a bad memory then. Members that've been here longer than me remember how they felt.

This is my first forum experience, and it has been amazing.

Two of my friends in highschool made me a brony two years before I joined.

When I first joined I was extremely nervous. I was also very embarrassed about being a brony because it was never an accepted thing where I live with the exception of those two other people.

As soon as I joined there were two wonderful ponies who greeted me with instant acceptance. RainbowDash9000, and Flutter_shy_steph showed me everything I needed to know. Without them, Im sure there wouldve been others, but im glad they were there first.

I havent been here long, only 3/4 of a year-ish, but it has been the best 3/4 of a year ive ever had. Ive made more friends here than I could have ever hoped for, and even a mate. Without this site Id literally be a nobody to the world, and I couldnt thank Tyro, and all else involved with its existence enough for making me somebody.

Well when I first joined. I was apprehensive. I slowly warmed up to the idea of being on a "brony" forum. I have now since become integrated, I don't necessarily like the show as a whole. But it has its moments, where I laugh along, or cry with Dash or another pony. or . (Psst, Dashie is my Best Pony.) So thank you! Everypony!

I'm feeling a swingeing deja vu. You cannot imagine how odd is to observe exactly same discussions, same answers, and even same type of people, I've already seen before. When it comes to speak about this community, it would seem to be composed of very specific kind of people. And this is quiet interesting but nonetheless obvious for some reasons.

    How'd I not see this? I ish make post now~ :p

If I could be honest, even with my past forum experience, I was shy as hell first joining here. I tired to at least make a effort to talk to ponies here and since then, there is not home like it here. A lot know how fun I get once I warm up to ponies. I've been most known to post in the Forum Games after, so goofy Chrysi was going to be enviable. Now I go on here by habit. I just can't get enough of the community~

It's a good question, mate. (May I call you mate now, or is it a bit early?). I would say, they are lonely people. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that everyone here is a lonely introvert unable to cope with Huxley consumer society — not at all. Just where is something recurrent — something to do with loneliness and the undeniable need to handle it.

I am!!!! In certain aspects. I can handle society, but I have trouble making friends.

Having friends is already fine. Then, troublemaking may be seen as their little hobby... Well, I'm about to start derailing this conversation. So, never mind.

Calling me mate isn't preferred. Most just call me Lyi~ :) (Yes, I know my name is excessively long, but...too bad.)
Unlike your prediction, I think a lot of us are introverts IRL, but we tend to get very extroverted and talkative online and on here.
    Unless you're like me.
Equally talkative and idiotic IRL and online. Eyup. I can get real annoying.

I think the age range is quite interesting on here: Most are probably teenagers or relatively young adults. I actually came from another forum, where I was (I believe) the youngest member, and everyone was an adult. It's nice to have someone understand your 'emo' emotions, or to hear out your teenage-life rants without hating on you.

I can call you Lyipheoryia, if you want so —'Ctrl+C/Ctrl+V' isn't hard to me.

I hope you're not meaning troubled teenager's lament, because it is one thing, I might be already fed up with.

Funny thing is, when I joined there was a significant amount of people that frequented only the livestream, which was at the time the pone music radio. This was about 5 years ago, around the time the music scene just started to pick up after the end of season 1. Because of that, I was effectively a member of the community for months before I signed up. In fact, when I did sign up, it was only to use the chatroom, which me and the four other people that used it promptly broke. I didn't actually start frequenting the forum until around when the in-house fanfic platform launched, which meant I actually had to try and show myself.

And that's still a better attendance record that some of the radio mods had while that side of the site lasted.

Relieved. I was looking for a forum that was active after seeing the death of more forums than I can count.
