"Babe, don't accept any good for the cake," Maya requested. "It's for everypony." Dusty nodded, waved the gold away, and floated a slice over with his magic. "You know, if you wish, I could establish a neural link between the two of us. Allow you to speak to me."
I do understand Morse, or do you call it Horse? I also understand many other languages. If there are any that you do know, let me know using it.
"Maybe they just wanna show off," Raven suggested. "You know brail?" Asmo joked. "I speak fluent dots."
Receiving the slice, Jay then imitaded the "hoovesign" language, then waved a no. He then imitaded writing with his hoof, accepting the offer of Cricket of pen and paper.
"Fair enough." Dusty reached down into one of the many saddlebags below the counter and produced a few papers and pens. "There you are."
Well good for her. How soon before the apprentice becomes a princess.??? (Starts laughing before stopping shortly after crystals form in the air)
"Starlight Glimmer," Cricket said. "Former leader of a nameless wasteland town turned cult. Used powerful magic to remove cutie marks, apparently with the intent of making everypony 'equal,' whatever that means. She was exposed as a fraud by the Elements and driven into hiding. Eventually, Princess Twilight found her, and for reasons unknown, took her on as a student."
"As far as I know, the vault's still there. The whole setup is worthless without the cutie mark removal spell, and the only Unicorn alive that can use it has sworn to never use it again."
Only Unicorn, huh? Hmm, I can however use the vault for other things. Mind helping drag the vault here?
"I'm not a big fan of manual labor," Cricket said, "and my magic isn't anywhere near strong enough to move something that big."
"are you suggesting that an entire vault of stolen cutie marks was not immediatley seized by the princess, and was left to languish?" "If you are... Im in."
Know anyone who could help? The cutie marks were released. I'm going to secure the vault technology, to make sure its not used again, and to see how it works. And it wouldn't have been seized, its buried in a mountain somewhere. That much I know.
Cricket shook her head. "You're underestimating the Guard. If there was any reason to believe that the vault itself was dangerous, Sil would have ordered it destroyed. Without the spell, the vault itself is nothing more than a fancy glass cabinet."
