The red stallion guard wrestling pony, Mat Joker was patrolling the Everfree Forest, as was his normal job. He dusted off his hooves as he looked in front of him at the KOed Manticore that attempted to attack him earlier, giving a bit of a chuckle, "... Not even close, I wouldn't try that again if I were you, you know?" He shakes his head as he strolls past the Manticore, heading deeper into the Everfree Forest.
Meanwhile, on one side of the forest, a brown-maned pegasus named Blackened Blue was flying around, doing his best to avoid the numerous traps and creatures dotted around. Looking down, he noticed another pony running through. Well, at least I know I'm not truly alone now, he thought to himself.
The red stallion just continued to walk forward, rolling his neck, stretching a bit, "... Geez.... This place feels like it can go on for an eternity sometimes." He continues to move forward, humming a song as he does so.
Upon noticing him, he decided to fly down and ask him for directions through the forest. "Hey," he asked. "Know any good routes through here? I think I've lost my way."
He stopped walking to take a look at the brown maned Pegasus, "... Depends on where you want to go, I mean, technically, there's routes to a lot of places."
"I've been looking for a way out of here," he responded. "Last route I took lead me to a huge bush too dense for me to press forward. Hey, mind if we look together?"
Mat nods, "Right... well, I know the way back to Ponyville. At least the general direction." He turns around to face the opposite spot he was looking in, "But it'll be a while of course."
"I guess this will be easier then." He started to walk along with him. "I take it you've been through this forest before?"
"That's interesting," he responded. "Anyway, my name's Blackened. Nice to meet you." He stuck out a hoof for a hoofshake.
"Sweet," he responded. "Ever had to fight off a manticore? Those things are huge. I keep thinking those things are going to maul me, so I just try my hardest to avoid them by flying."
He nods as he keeps walking, "Yeah, of course. I've fought a lot of creatures. Manticores, Dragons, Ursa...."
"Sounds pretty hefty," he said. "I don't think I'd have the courage to fight an Ursa, those things are huge, especially the Major ones."
Mat chuckles, "I... normally wouldn't have either..., but the whole ability thing I have has kind of helped with that regard."
Mat chuckles, "I couldn't really teach you the ability, I mean... it's pretty well, specific and rare. But I can teach others how to defend themselves a bit."
