She groaned. "It took me almost a year to master that trick and you mistake it for a faceplant. You philistine."
Nightshade nodded. "The first few times I tried it, it was pretty faceplanty. Had to visit the healer more than once. But that was years ago."
Violia enters in looking and behaving a bit different. She seemed quiet, but in the way that something was wrong or maybe her work had her stressed. It was unclear, but there was more of a glow to her pink eyes than before. She sits down and sighs, looking to be trying to calm down a bit.
A look of concern crossed Nightshade's face, quickly replaced with a half smile and a shrug. "Bats are naturally more agile than Pegasi... though not as fast... so it shouldn't be too difficult. Make sure you start to angle your wings about ten feet above the ground, or you'll hit hard."
(Same day.) "Oh hey, welcome back. That was quicker than I thought." Maya looked her over. "Something up?" Raven started to fly up. "I'm so trying this."
(Apologies lol. I kinda thought it was a different day. I'll go fix that post up a bit after posting this one.) Violia looks up to Maya with her glowing eyes. "I'll be alright, just another chaos containment call. Not much being new." She says in a near mono toned, and yet rather low toned voice. "It's all part of the job I suppose..." She finishes, as her voice sounds to soften up a bit.
"I once saw the Element of Loyalty pull this trick off at Mach Three while carrying three Wonderbolts and a Unicorn." She flew up with Raven, trying to give her some last-minute advice. "I'd recommend starting out a little slower. Just a gravity dive, don't try to push your speed on the way down. Level out about a foot or two off the ground, and if you lose the glide, roll when you hit the dirt."
Van's back at the bar counter, in a random seat, not really paying attention who he's sitting by. Mat looks at Dusty, "... Yo, got a second?"
"Sounds like you're not totally satisfied with the job," Maya observed. "Got it." Raven began her graveful trip down and totally faceplanted into the dirt. Dusty nodded. "Always."
Mat looked at him, "... I feel weird. I mean I feel fine but... it's like a small bit in the back of my mind is panicking a lot. Like you know, the small voice in your head that shouts out the negative stuff. Usually that isn't there though... how do I kill it?"
Violia then sighs. "It's not that it wasn't satisfying as much as it was tiring and stressful. Frickin insubordinates in the pit were causing a ruckus. If it got out of hoof, we could of had a demonic invasion in Equestria. The imbalance would of thrown a lot out of wack and another war could of started. There are still some guard down in the pit keeping an eye on things til the situation fully cools down." She explains. "Though I suppose it's not the most glamorous of jobs, but it does pay well. Much better than any other job in the underworld's worst reaches." She then looks at the counter. "This connects with my demon hunting which can lead me to here on the surface if we do have a demon problem. But thankfully things have been tighter in the past few years." She says, finishing her explanation of what's going on.
Maya nodded. "I see. Sounds like an important role." Raven hopped to her hooves, her left fang chipped. "I'm pretty fine. I think."
