"Of course." Dusty focused to see what Mat's conscious mind looked like. Some visual representation would simplify the process, and make it a lot cooler.
(Edited the post. Sorry.) "I think I may have given you bad advice," Nightshade explained. "Pegasi wings work like bird wings, and that's what I'm used to. Bat Pony wings... like yours... work like a bat's wings. I don't know all the technical details, but it means that what works for a Pega doesn't necessarily work for a Bat. And vice-versa. It's why my grandmare had to teach me to fly. Dad couldn't."
Mat's head was actually a massive arena, like one of the ones in Manehattan, set up for a wrestling show. At least, currently it was. There wasn't much of an audience though. Mat was just sitting on one of the ring's turnbuckles, his hooves wrapped on the ropes.
Raven nodded. "Guess that makes sense. One thing about before, though. I'm kinda small, not as much mass to move, I can go pretty fast for a bat." Dusty projected himself in the center of the ring, facing Mat. "Hello."
"We were flying at almost two hundred miles an hour before I dove, so yeah... you're definitely the fastest pure Bat I've ever seen."
Mat looked down at Dusty from his perched position, "Hello. Normally this place would be a bit.... full, but the show's on a bit of a stall right now. No one's here, I feel a bit weird, so I'm just sitting here."
"Gotta go fast." Raven snickered. "Well." Dusty backed into the opposite corner. "Would it make you feel better to attract a bigger crowd? In here, we've plenty of time."
Violia closed her eyes and began to uses her gifts to scan her environment to find and pin point the energy that was before them. She found something that she didn't expect. There was some sort of strong power down there that was disrupting the seals placed in the pit. "Somepony managed to break the seals over the pit keeping in the damned souls. This will need to be addressed right away before any can escape their prison here." Violia says as she looks to Asmo, Zeran, and Berri.
He shakes his head, "Normally, yeah, this place would be packing with everyone... If I do that, though... that voice is going to show back up, probably. That voice I'm trying to kill."
"I can sense it..." Azrael took a few steps forward. "Let's kill it." "Then we do that," said Dusty. "Attract it."
Mat stared at Dusty before getting off the turnbuckle, "... You sure about that? I really don't like that voice. It's ugh... It's like an inner part of me... it really sucks. It's like the opposite." He took a look at the arena doors, "... Maybe opening them will help."
"Probably." Dusty used his brain magic to force open the door. "And I came here for the voice. So I do need to find it."
Violia then nods. "Before we do..." She looks to cast a spell to lay a barrier over the area. It'll be good enough to temporary despell any magic that may be cast to escape. "Alright, let's see what's causing this." She steps down into the pit and lead them into the flaming depth of it. The dry heat started to get very intense once they got pretty close. "I hope you guys can take the heat because it'll get pretty intense down here. This heat will be beyond any desert heat that you'd be use to."
"That fandom is dead," Nightshade replied. "Let it rot in peace." Her stomach growled. "I still don't have my pizza and beer, and you still have a chipped fang. Let's get to the bar." ******************** Holly got off the couch and went outside to nap on the balcony. ******************** Silver and Winter were getting along remarkably well, in spite of her vanishing for two decades and his turning their daughter in an emotionless killing machine. ******************** Blackout returned home to find Cricket and Hope asleep in front of the TV, so he made himself a frozen dinner and joined them a while later. ********************* Moon Shine, several million bits richer after her deal to make Silver's set of godslayer blades, poured a pile of gold coins on her bed and rolled around in them.
Azrael followed quietly, knowing he could take it. He'd had his throat slit and walked away fine. This was doable. "That's where we're off to," Raven replied.
Mat opened his mouth a bit as Dusty forced the doors open, watching the mass of ponies pour into the stadium, including a lot of obvious well known ponies. Mat watched as they filed in, "... Great."
