My gf kinda introduced me to the whole thing through sitting down and watching the show and some flufflepuff videos on YouTube. I admit, I was kinda reluctant, merely wanting to humor her at first, but I found I actually liked the show and things just went from there!

My gateay episode was the two-parter "A Canterlot Wedding".

My reaction upon seeing it was more or less, "HOLY ****E, I NEVER KNEW THIS SHOW COULD BE SO AMAZING!".

    It blew my mind.

I've been a fan ever since.

I was happy and a bit amused when I found out that I was a brony. I happened to be bored one day roughly five years ago (it's been that long already ), and I stumbled across Derpy Hooves while looking around Know Your Meme. My curiosity was piqued by older males liking a new generation of MLP, so I started out with the first episode and was hooked within minutes. I was pretty open about it from the get-go, and it wasn't long before I started buying pony figurines and T-shirts. I'm an oddball anyway, so I figured being open about being a brony wasn't going to change much. :derp:

A little surprised. Look at me in the face thread, and have a look at things like my musical tastes and personality. I don't exactly scream brony material.

I've never considered myself as one of so called bron... whatever. The obvious question you might ask: 'Why would you spend whole weeks on community resources?' Well... If I were bound to find an appropriate metaphor to describe this community, I would say a giant Venus flytrap: colourful, heady-smelling, attractive and extreamly sticky. And once you touch it, you will never escape. I've been bustling around right from the beginning, but never wanted to find myself buying tones of useless plastic toys, or ordering dozens of T-shirts with arrogant proclamations on it, or even (the worst thing never can happen) looking up for some mid-pornographic pervert content. I should probably seem biased by saying all this, but don't get me wrong. I'm not criticising anything at all, especially then it comes to speak about marketing, and in that case a proficient one. I'm just trying to take a distance and analyse my own passions. Never mind the bollocks I say.

At first I was skeptical about it. Then, after I watched the first few episodes, I was all like, "Wow! This is definitely something I can enjoy watching!" That's pretty much it.

Well, tbh, I was reluctant to watch it. But my curiosity was just too great and watched the first episode, afterward, I didn't know what to think. The next day I was watching another to make sure I was into it or not, and oh Celestia I felt so darn frustrated that I couldn't stop watching. I ended up binge watching the first season none stop for days . It felt as if i had lost my man card at that moment, my friends would disown me and leave me behind as the Brony who they hated. I couldn't finish some episodes because of how bad the lines were, I just said "No, please just no." and shut them off. But eventually went back to rewatch them to completion and got the jokes, was really funny. So after that, I became a full-fledged brony.

At first, I wasn't interested in it. But then, I tired and was all like; "Wow, I like this! Maybe, I should watch more episodes!" So yeah, you know the rest.

lol kind of a non reaction. I was excited mostly, because the fandom seemed really cool. And I was already a massive fan of the Tinker Bell movies so I couldn't be like "oh know I'm man I can't watch this girly crap!".

I'll probably never forget the night that happend. Around half a year before I watched the first episode a friend mentioned this wired thing going on
in some forums, so I pretty much heard about the fandom before I started watching. My brain saved this under "wired", since the first association with mlp were commercials from the 90's.
On a hot night in summer I could't sleep so I started to get curious. This ended in me watching the first season in a row, for me it was a total surprise that I liked it. Even more surprised was the fact that I could really dig the songs and I'm a Blues/Rock/Metal guy. So much for "no good things happen after 2 am" XD

It was wayyyy back in 2011, around May. It still feels like yesterday...

It all started by seeing a certain pony picture by a certain artist on a certain site which I certainly won't talk about. It made me wonder why MLP was so popular, but I didn't bother to find out until a day or two later. I curiously googled MLP:FIM and found EP1 on Youtube. I started watching it, thinking it'd be a torture.... But the end of it intrigued me and I wanted to find out how the two-part story concludes. I was starting to question my sanity at that point but I went for EP2 anyways.
It was nice, so I watched a few other episodes without stopping. After 4-5 episodes, I walked out and told my parents that this new pony cartoon is really funny and enjoyable. I still remember them looking at me strangely (in a harmless way) for weeks. I bet they were thinking I'm turning gay or something, haha.

Pretty soon, I had a life-changing experience that defined and sweetened 4 years of my teenage life, by coming across EPR.
I was annoying and not pleasant at first, but I eventually made new friends after getting used to the people. In a matter of a week or two, I went from "I hate myself for this" to "This show and fandom is the best thing I've ever come across".
Also the Friday Night Floxy shows made me start pulling all-nighters, which eventually helped me realize that I am much more focused and efficient at night. Even nowadays, I do most of my important work between 23-2, be it coding or w/e. So thanks, Flash and Foxy ::S:
