Belgium is also known for waffles. And chocolate. Although, really, Switzerland makes better chocolate.
Don't think I've ever had Whittaker's. We make some really good chocolate here in the US, but unfortunately, we're best known for Hershey's. And Hershey's sucks.
Whittaker's can be pretty rich, some being in 85%+ range of cocoa. I had Hershey's once. Never again. We have a lot of Cadbury here as well, which may be cheap, but it's really good.
yeah, it really does.... there are many good chocolates out there.... but Hershey's? Hershey's is not one....
I had no idea so many people hated Hershey's!! I'd take that over Russell Stover any day. RS is pretty good though.
No, most Americans love Hershey. It's only the people who love chocolate and understand what it's supposed to taste like that hate Hershey. People hate Miller beer for a similar reason, actually.
I used to work with a guy from Honduras. He'd bring a pack of corn tortillas and put all sorts of stuff on them and call it a taco. He said it's like a sandwich; no matter what you put on it, it's still called the same thing.
