Because Why Not?

Hi, everyone. I'm Curtis Wildcat, and I have nothing better to do.

But seriously, I signed up here because I had a few minutes. I don't particularly expect to spend much time here, since my other online hangouts take priority and because I'm in the middle of a few minor projects at the moment, but... whatever. If I ever need to say something here, I may as well be prepared.

How I got interested in FiM is a little convoluted, and I don't give the series a lot of thought aside from visits to Fimfiction. It would take a bit long for me to explain at the moment, but if anyone's interested I'll elaborate in a later post.

Eh, I'll pass. You know as well as I do that my characters don't last long in controlled environments.

Also, Lio? You had very little to do with the recruitment process. I knew this website was out there, but I didn't know where. So, I browsed the Pony thread back at Fukufics until I found the name, then I did a quick Google search to confirm the URL. If anything, my introduction to this place was Crescent's Introduction thread. >^_^<

I'll do what I can, but I make no promises. Still, I've already gotten the run-down on most of the series thanks to TV Tropes, so it's not a major issue for me.

Truthfully I'd known about the show since 2014, and even then I've always been more feline-minded than pony-minded. Here's the process that led to me watching it:

(June 2011) Crescent Pulsar ---> Touhou Project ---> Constant "Puma Man" impressions
(January-May 2015) Sakuya Vs Dio OMM ---> Reaction vid ---> OMM and DBs in general ---> Reaction vids ---> Turnabout Storm ---> Reaction vids ---> FRIENDSHIP

In short, if Crescent hadn't convinced me to throw myself in the path of myriads of colorful bullets, I wouldn't be watching a cartoon involving myriads of colorful equines. Go figure.

I have a tendency not to watch episodes/reactions in their entirety, just the parts I find especially funny or cool (I rely heavily on humor to keep myself going everyday; emotional or controversial stuff sours my mood awful quick). The 100th episode and EQ: Friendship Games are the closest I've come to just sitting down and watching the entire thing, and the bulk of the series I haven't even touched.
