"Anyway," Asmo said, "I think he just has a thing in his a-" Maya then swung open the door and walked inside, carrying Moondust on her back. "I want my husband."
Nightshade shrugged at the obvious lie. "Alright then. Mind if I join you for a drink? I'm still tasting the sewer, and it's... it's not pleasant."
"One moment," he called from the kitchen, "Nearly done with this. Fake memories take time." Maya followed his voice, making her way back there. "So..." Azrael glanced at the kitchen. "How was the kidnapping?"
"Getting in was fun. Crawling through the air ducts, knocking out the guards, finding and destroying the evidence... it was just like being in the Guard again. Getting out..." She winced. "Let's just say that the quickest way out was FAR from pleasant."
"This place is insane" June commented to Asmo "kidnappings, destroying bases, it sounds like I'm in some type of crazy dream"
"Done!" Dusty floated the maid out to a booth with a cider, and gave Nightshade a glass of bourbon in the process. He then walked out and stopped, a bit shocked. "Maya?" Maya nudged him towards a booth. "We wanted to see Daddy." Raven perked up a bit when she noticed. "Oh, *squee!*, hi!" "Language, Rave, but hi.~ That looks like an important chat, so finish that up." Asmo nodded. "Yeah, this place gets wild."
Dusty tilted his head. "There is no way..." Maya grabbed Cricket by the head and whispered, "Cricket, dude, how the BUCK did you learn that?!"
