Midnight blinked and went back to eating her food, she glanced at the bottle of wine and chugged it in one go. She let out a small burp and blinked, now bored. Maybe she should go over to the other ponies, and try to integrate herself into their group, somehow. She glanced at them and slowly got to her hooves, sure, that seemed like a good idea. She got closer and twitched her ears, maybe they were telling a joke. Midnight blinked as she got close, this had seemed like a good idea at first. Maybe more wine? she thought to herself, she dismissed it quickly, they didn't need a drunk stumbling around. "erm, hello, my er, Subjects. Are you erm, enjoying yourself?" she asked blinking, she sat down on one of the empty chairs, inviting herself to the group.
"Maybe they'd like you better if you didn't insist on referring to them as your 'subjects," Cricket suggested dryly.
"Well my original sentence was, peasants. So you would like me better if i called you subjects, rather then common scum." she snorted. She blinked, "So was all your sustenance ok?" she added butting in again, she glanced at Raven "Hows that wing, that you banged accidentally?" she added.
Cricket sighed. "Yeah, okay, let's clear up a few things. One, you don't get to walk in here with no money and demanding food and drinks and then call us peasants. As a matter of fact, that human over there paid for your meal, and I still haven't heard a 'thank you.' So not only are you poor, you're rude. Two, I don't know where you came from, but you're not there anymore. You have no authority here. Zero, zilch, nada, none. We are subjects of the Princesses. You're nothing to us. Three, and probably the most important, you need to apologize to Raven, and I mean Right. Bucking. NOW. That little pony has some of the meanest, nastiest, most dangerous ponies on this planet ready and willing to destroy anypony dumb enough to mess with her. If I were you, I'd thank whatever gods you believe in that none of them were here to see this."
((Griev paid.....Edmond is in the Empire with Az.. Just FYI)) Edmond: Hmm, oh well. Let's get back to the bar. Az, do you have any spooky ghosty powers that'll get us back quicker than it took to get us here? Griev: He....have we met? (turning to Cricket)
(Fixed) Cricket shook her head. "No, no we haven't. I'm Cricket, and... I assume you've got one of those weird human names like Larry or Steve or Assistant Manager?"
Greiv: (Chuckling) No no, I am Griev, from the same Universe as the one called Architect. I am a Keeper of Balance. Edmond: If we do it in small steps with the energy in my sword to bolster it, could it work?
Midnight blinked as he went on his rant. She would listen to it though since it sounded rather important. She blinked at raven, "I'm er, sorry i made you break your wing. Here have some compensation" she remarked passing over a stone along the table. That stone was worth around 50 bits or so, probally. "Thank you for paying for my food, It was.. Satisfactory" she said smiling. She teleported another bottle of wine out for herself, all this niceness was thirsty work. "So what do you all do for the living?"
Griev: I just live. Don't really work, per se. Just have a lot of money. Edmond: Sure! Let's find out. We also have a spaceship up there (gestures upwards) in case something goes wrong, that can help.
"I accept your apology, and I won't tell my marefriend, mom, dad, or uncle about the crap you pulled," Raven replied. "And I'm a musician. Not sure if, uhh, you could tell. What's that stone?" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Azrael closed his eyes and used his classical blackout teleportation to move himself and Edmond about three miles away from the Empire, towards the bar.
Cricket shrugged. "I was a Changeling songstress. Now I'm a... a housewife. Damn, when did that happen?" She sighed. She was happy being a wife and mother, but it sure was boring sometimes.
Azrael trotted inside the bar, towards the counter. For those just joining us, he was massive: nearly as tall as Princess Celestia, and twice as buff. Pretty imposing to anypony who might want to start a bar fight. Raven waved to him. "Hi, Az."
-The desert- Blackheart walked into the mobile lab that had been set up for Xion. "Good morning. Have you solved the problem with the power connections? They seemed to be troubling you last night." On his own side, everything was proceeding smoothly. Black Forge scientists had successfully reverse-engineered the tech Xion had shared, and lab trials were underway. A small factory in Baltimare was already being retooled in anticipation of mass-production.
