Odd title but anyone that's been following the anime will be familiar with a stand. For those that don't otherwise watch the show (like me), it's basically a super power. I know it's likely more complex than that but we don't need the fluff of how it all fits together to make this thread make sense. Me and a few friends have been playing around with a 'Stand Generator'. You put in an album and an artist and a song then it'll generate a stand based on it. Link! I've been trying this out and here's a few of my results. 'Fighting Trousers' from 'Indifference Engine' by Professor Elemental I'm a dork but the guys got a great producer and he's fun while being funny. Better than most crap I hear on the radio when I bother to listen. Now, for reasons I don't fully understand, a song about the Professor attacking fellow Chap Hop artist Mr. B (who I also enjoy) for appearing to muscle in on his lyrical turf gave e the power to generate keys. It even looks kinda powerful. This can be accomplished by either a physical action, such as forging the key or by supernatural means. A friend tried 'Livin' on a Prayer' Bon Jovi and got the ability to microwave people to death. It's a song about trying to struggle to succeed despite hardship yet it becomes a very...messy superpower. The user can make blood temperature increase to boiling point, or may lower the boiling point of the blood itself so that it will boil in room temperature. Victims of this power are subjected to intense pain, heatwaves and have difficulty breathing. The user can be powerful enough that to burn people with touching them and could burn multiple people's blood. I wondered if we were being to obscure for these modern times and did a more contemporary song that came to mind. Off the top of my head, I thought of 'Holy Grail' from 'Magna Carta Holy Grail' by Jay-Z featuring Justin Timberlake. Some how, a song about how fame and success might destroy someone through it's unsettling corruption gave the powers of Ant Man. Sub-power of Self-Molecular Manipulation and Transmutation. Variation of Shapeshifting. The user has complete control over the size of oneself and others, from tiny to absolutely gigantic while retaining their physical proportions, some may be able to alter their density. Usually strength and durability is proportional to the size assumed, but users may actually gain increased abilities when growing or keep... I want to know how it's calculating this stuff because it's clear it's picking something new every time. Running the same song through the Generator gives different results. 'Holy Grail' gave me a more appropriate ability to generate living beings from marketing brands when I threw it in a few times. Still, I had a small laugh with it. Anyone else got some good ones with this? Can anyone top Jay-Z granting Ant Man's powerset? Oh! I wonder what Kanye West'll do! He's nuts enough to grant contact highs, let alone a superpower. I wanted to do 'POWER' but the few songs in it's database from the same album didn't include it so 'Runaway' it is. It gave me timeshare powers! Or maybe the universe allows me to invoke the power cosmic on my birthday? Wait! No, I generate power from the fact that time is happening?! Do I have that right? How? Sub-power of Calendar Manipulation. Variation of Affinity. Users become stronger, faster, more durable, etc. from various periods of time (days, weeks, months, years or different times of day such morning, noon, midnight, etc.), possibly unlocking abilities related to the affinity and enhancing the existing powers. Some users may be able draw sustenance from the different times or even stop or slow aging. Fans of the show: do these powers sound like they'd fit in? Because these sound so...so weird.
OHOHOHO, something I can finally talk about well! I already have one, actually! And yes, these powers seem like they'd fit right in with Jojo's. It is a BIZARRE adventure, after all. Spoiler: The Stand Formerly Known as Prince Stand Name: The Stand Formerly Known as Prince Stand Ability: Aquakinesis and Illusionary powers Power: C Speed: A Range: B Durability: C Precision: A Potential: C Description: Basically looks like Prince, but buff. It's special attack, PURPLE RAIN, attacks the target with many record shaped disks of water. For each one that hits the target, they are forced to pay you $15. If they have $15, great! If not, they will resort to any means to pay off their debt.
