Rose adjusted the crystal she wore around her neck, which Azrael would likely recognize as the same type of crystal that had neutralized the strange chemical that had so recently stuck a bomb to him.
Azrael narrowed his eyes. "That crystal. Recently, a similar one almost killed me. Again. What is that?"
Rose looked at him curiously, and held out the black crystal for him to see. "This is an anti-magic crystal. I use them to neutralize the effects of potions that go wrong. They're fairly rare, but I've heard that the Changeling queen has a huge chunk of it somewhere in her hive." She chuckled, and let the crystal fall back around her neck. "But I suppose you're asking if I was involved in the bomb incident. I was, indirectly. Winter is an old friend, so I sold her the bonding agent that stuck the weapon to you."
"A friend came to me asking for help to destroy the monster that had nearly killed her daughter. What would you have done?"
Midnight blinked at him before replying again, "Me, Thirsty" she repeated, she waited for her milk by sitting in the sink next to a pile of washed dishes. She did need a bath, she sat in the warm water and blinked.
Windsor sighed, plucked the filly out of his dishwater, sat her at the bar, and brought her a glass of milk. ************************ Rose nodded. "For what it's worth, the adhesive was actually meant for medical purposes. A way to bind prosthetics and implants to flesh and bone without screws or stitches."
Midnight sat there happily, and began drinking the glass of milk. She blinked, it was rather creamy. So it must be very expensive, fit for a princess indeed. She blinked at Windsor "where is Silver?" she asked him
Rose nodded. "Well, of course. It's not meant to come off. But the experiment did give me some interesting ideas for the compound. Imagine, a sedative dart that can be used against bug dangerous creatures like manticores and bugbears without fear of being knocked loose." A pair of large dogs walked up and began nudging her. "Sorry, it's time to feed the boys. We'll talk later." She walked away, followed closely by the dogs. *************************************************** Nightshade shrugged. "There're a few more ponies to meet. They're almost done loading, so we should be airborne in an hour."
Windsor, being a living barstool who had never been outside the bar, had absolutely no idea where Silver was. Probably doing Night Guard stuff.
Being fed, Midnight blinked, bored. She wanted a adventure. She opened a portal up and disappeared though it. Midnight reappeared in a crate that was being loaded into the airship, she blinked it was bottled milk, she began drinking a bottle.
(@MidnightShadow - NO.) The porter loading the ship noticed the filly and deposited her on the dock. "Go home kid. This is no place for you."
"There'll be time to talk to her later," Nightshade said. "But it's just bad storytelling to start the adventure without introducing all the characters."
(Rude) Midnight blinked at him, she stayed on the dock and began drinking a bottle of milk she had stolen. "Mine"
The next ponies they met were the ship's medic, a unicorn mare called Rain, and her younger brother, a prodigy of a mage by the name of Flair. Please note that these are totally original characters and any similarities they may share with Raine and Genis Sage from Tales of Symphonia is purely coincidental.
