The sad thing is he actually wants to run. I'm just hoping that the inevitable humiliating loss will knock his ego down a peg.
No, I'm legitimately curious here. In what way is Michelle Obama qualified for ANY public office, much less POTUS?
There are plenty of leaders and good influences out there. My mom is a strong leader and a good influence for women and children but that doesn't necessarily mean she would make a good president. That takes a certain kind of leadership and strength under the highest level of pressure one can even fathom. Your decisions will directly affect the everyday lives of millions of people. Do you believe Mrs. Obama could handle that?
And how exactly is Mr. Trump qualified for such a thing, given his track record of fraud, misogyny, bankruptcies, poor temperament, inciting violence, pandering to racists, etc.? I am not a fan of either of the Obamas by any means, but double standards do not constitute a valid argument by any stretch of the imagination. Trump is only in it for Trump, and he will throw anyone under the bus once they no longer suit his purposes. It will be interesting to see how the inevitable backlash against him unfolds. Will he manage to still hold office by 2020? Let us not forget that Trump owes his office due to a combination of factors I noted above. This man has no mandate.
I wasn't saying that we had an easy choice either way. Trump is a successful businessman which is also a high pressure position. His Presidential performance remains to be seen so all we can do is hope for the best. We never elect our officials KNOWING anything about how they will handle the tough decisions.
Michelle Obama has stated that "Beyonce could not be a better role model for my girls." Beyonce and Jay-Z have been invited by the Obamas to the White House multiple times, and the Obamas have gone with their children to see the two in concert. Now let's take a look at what Mrs. Obama considers appropriate for her children. I'm putting these in spoilers because this is going to get rather graphic. Spoiler: A sample of Beyonce song lyrics- GRAPHIC -"Can you lick my Skittles, it's the sweetest in the middle/ Pink is the flavor, solve the riddle" -"First both of my legs go back on your head, and whatever you want, yeah baby, I'm bad" -"Driver roll up the partition, please/ I don't need you seeing 'Yonce on her knees" -"Now my mascara running, red lipstick smudged/ Yeah, he's so horny he wants to f---/ He popped all my buttons and he ripped my blouse/ He Monica Lewinsky-ed all on my gown/ Oh Daddy, Daddy, he didn't bring the towel/ Oh baby, baby, we better slow it down" -"Foreplay in a foyer, f**ked up my Warhol/ Slid the panties right to the side/ Ain't got the time to take draws off, on site" Unpleasant, isn't it? Now let's see what her wonderful husband has to say. Spoiler: A sample of Jay-Z lyrics -GRAPHIC -"I wanna Rothko, no I wanna brothel/ No, I want a wife that f--- me like a prostitute/ Let's make love on a million, in a dirty hotel/ With the fan on the ceiling, all for the love of drug dealing" -"Now once upon a time not too long ago/ A n----- like myself had to strong-arm a ho" -"Can I get a F--- YOU to these b------ from all of my n-----/ who don't love hoes, they get no dough" This is what Michelle Obama allows her children to listen to. Encourages her children to listen to. I contend that not only is Mrs. Obama a terrible role model, she a terrible mother.
This is, however, deflective in nature. Michelle Obama isn't getting any kind of benefit of the doubt; she is being judged by previous actions. Yet, we have seen Mr. Trump's previous actions, and they paint a far worse picture of him than Mr. Obama's wife. Trump's interests are also irreconcilable with those of scores of millions of people, and he won't be as adept at hiding this fact as liberals typically do. The rotten oligarchy that owns this country has certainly gotten the candidate it "deserves"! As for the rest of us, many already see through Mr. Trump. Millions of those who voted for him will also quickly become disillusioned (an internationally respected economics commentator pointed out that Trump's white working class support base will not benefit from his policies in a source I posted above). You seem to be hoping for change to occur under Trump. Millions hoped for such a thing with Obama in 2008. History will be repeating itself here. This is pretty mild stuff compared to the actions of Mr. Trump, which include inciting racial hatred, inciting violence against protesters, sexual assault (the tape of him boasting of it is most certainly unpleasant!), insulting entire ethnic groups, fraud, etc. Your method is artless, self-serving, and hypocritical.
Yes, because a private conversation between two grown men is exactly the same as a public concert attended by children.
@M14Brony- My original point was asking MK to expand on her answer of why Mrs. Obama is a good leader and good influence. I didn't say she COULDN'T do it and I didn't bring up ANY of her previous actions because quite frankly, I didn't know of any. It wasn't rhetorical, I legitimately wanted to know. I also didn't say that Trump was gonna be the one to save us all. More like I hope he's able to make sound decisions in his position; not just change for the sake of change. I'd be saying the same thing had Hillary won. Either way, there is a massive economic hole the US is gonna have to dig out of. Maybe I could've worded my statements better. I'll admit I'm not always the best at verbalizing my thoughts as clearly as I would like. Especially when it comes to politics.
Yeah, I'm actually getting sick of hearing about that from the left. And this is coming from a liberal, albeit the kind that existed before every liberal was an SJW. It was a joke. People need to let it go. Unlike the lyrics you listed, this joke from Trump was never meant to go public. Or be listened to by impressionable kids, for that matter.
