(Natalia, Jared [i'm assuming] and Ellia are ready for time lapse. 3/7.) "No, I couldn't do that," he said, still skimming over the fine details of the piece. "But, how did you do the lighting with all those lanterns? And all those colors with the dancers...."
He laughed, his nose crinkling with the action. "Oh really?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. "As a heartless fiend, I am intrigued. What did I do to deserve this?"
"Hey, we clarified that you're not completely heartless! And you've done plenty of things to prove yourself worthy, like helping me, and taking me up to the crows nest, and other things, of course!"
He stood with his arms on his hips, looking amused. "As much as I enjoy this clarification of my angelic qualities, I have to hesitate in thinking you don't contain a trace of bias. But thank you, I appreciate it." He held the painting carefully, trying not to crease it. He slid it into his shirt pocket.
"It's nothing," she said, before tilting her head. "It's getting late. Wouldn't want you out past curfew." Her voice has a sort of reluctance to it as she spoke.
"Aw, don't be so glum, Avice!" Jack said, smiling. "I'll be back tomorrow and we can do it all over again."
"Yes, I suppose you're right this time." Avice chuckled, crossing her arms. "Just don't get stabbed on your way back."
"I'll try," he said, opening the door. "See you, Avice." The deck had a cool breeze blowing, and Jack paused, looking out over the sea. He stood for a moment, and then gently patted the image in his pocket. He smiled, and walked to his room, a little more spring in his step than before. (Aw.)
Avice closed the door behind him, leaning against it after doing so. She slid down, until sitting on the floor, a hand on her head. After a moment she stood up, turning down there oil lamp.
(AW. Okay, so I'm assuming Avice and Jack are ready for the time jump? 5/7? Does that just leave @Proxy ? Edit: Heck! Ninja'! Are you sure, Proxy? We can still finish our interaction.)
(Yeah, we can finish this and then move on.) "I was kind of in a rush to leave. Besides, he was transporting something into there, it seems. There likely would have been heightened security."
(Alrighty!) "So, will he be angry when you come back, do you think?" Jade asked, laying her palms flat on the table.
"Well, as far as he knows I'm on a shipping freighter to get away from his BS." Cobiah said, finishing off his meal. "So, assuming I don't get caught, I'd get maybe.... one ore two scoldings. Nothing serious."
"And then you can investigate his top secret room of mythical death," Jade said casually, stacking their dishes.
"I sure hope so." He said, walking the dishes over to the cooks so that they could wash them. He handed his rapier back to Jade. "We should get you a cane next time we're in port." He said.
