"Ugh...!"He let out a pained groan as he was flung into the dirt. "Guess I should have been more careful..." he grunted, slowly climbing up to his hooves again.
This time remembering what Az taught him, he moved to the side quickly and - yet again - went for his legs.
"Show me what you think you should do about this." Azrael charged much like a wrecking ball would a building, attempting to ram his chest right into Blackened's snout.
Celestia nodded, heading for the command tent. Inside, a small blue dragoness was arm-wrestling an enormous old buffalo, while an old zebra and a young griffon cheered them on. Luna introduced them as Dragon Lord Ember, Chief Thunderhooves, Gabby the griffon, and 'King Z.' "My true name is hard for pony tongues to say," King Z explained, "I have found that it is simply better this way." ******************************************************************************************* Rain stared out the window in silence for a few minutes, then finally asked. "They told me a bit about what's happening. Are you planning on joining the fight?" ************************************************************************************** @Lord Architect Blackheart walked into the lab where his alien comrade was working. "Good evening. I would like to let you know that we have finished tests on the nanomachines and the laser. Both are working well, and will be ready for production soon. How are things on your end?"
As they walked, it didn't take long at all for Maya to receive telepathic word and catch up with Dusty. "Nice to meet you," Maya said sweetly to the group within the tent. "Blows it had to be under these circumstances." Dusty nodded. "Indeed. I'd much prefer to attend a peace council, at this point in my life." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "What fight?" Navaja asked, confused. "I... I've only been awake a few moments."
Xion: (picking up a curved piece of metal) Evening. Pretty good, I think. The device should be done in about a week at this rate. But I can't shake the feeling that something is wrong.
"We woke something up," Rain replied. "A god. Maybe a devil. Maybe the Devil. Doesn't matter. All that matters is that it's coming for us, for all of us, and there may not be a way to stop it. But they're gonna try." ********************************************************************************************** "Oh my gosh me too," Gabby said, nodding. "But maybe next time! So how are we going to beat this guy? The Power of Friendship?" "I was thinking we'd just roast his sorry ass," Ember said with a smirk. ******************************************************************* Blackheart sighed. "Indeed. I received word from the Mage's Guild that Equestria is under attack. All who are capable of fighting have been summoned to join the battle. I will be leaving before nightfall."
"In that case... Si. If we woke it up, then I will help put it back down." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Maya giggled. "Yeah, roasting his ass is a good start. Actually, I've got some bombs that work off fusion, big ones. Gonna fling those at him when he's close enough." Dusty continued, "The blast from these weapons will be massive, so to be sure we're safe from being vaporized, I and some of the royal family are going to raise a shield around the area. This will damage his army more than the snake himself. Then... I trust you've all already been vaccinated?"
Rep: (wakes up slightly before falling asleep again) *15 disturbances begin to form in the sky around the battlefield, it seemed the Council was on the way.*
All nodded except Ember. "I doubt whatever this is could infect a dragon," she said proudly. "We're resistant to most magic." "I can assure you," Nightshade said, walking in with Rose, "that it can. Not even Omega classes are immune. I know because an Omega class dragon wraith led the attack that killed three of my my friends." Ember paled. "I'll have my dragons get the vaccine, then." Silver glanced at his daughter. "I suspect you are not here to rejoin the Guard. So who do you represent this time? The Merc's Guild?" Nightshade shook her head. "The Cult of Discord. I've sent out word of what's happening, and we have almost three hundred chaos mages coming." He sighed. "Very well. And the vampire?" Rose rolled her eyes. "We've met, Silver. You know I'm with the Sisterhood. And given the circumstances, we've decided to join the fight." *************************************************************************** Rain struggled out of the bed. "Then I'll fight, too. I don't suppose you know of any way to heal a horn?"
Azrael rolled to his hooves. "Yes, it would seem you're learning much." ~~~~~~~~~ Dusty turned to Nightshade. "Since you're here, mayhaps you can remind everpony what the sword wielders will need to do." ~~~~~~~~~ "I do not. But I know two who may." Navaja forced himself to stand all the way back up. "Don't suppose you know where they took my clothes?"
Silver drew a small diagram on the table of a six-pointed star. "In order for the draining field to work to its full effect, we must draw Apophis into a position between all six blades. At that point, the wielders will activate the spell. The process is automatic from that point." He sighed. "There is, of course, the issue of finding wielders."
