Raven smiled, grabbing her own spoon, and sitting next to her. "Y'know, romantic pet name, I should thank you for... a whole lot." ~~~~~~~~~ Asmo, still disguised as Silver, answered, "Because I am." He then turned to the troops he was meant to train, shouting, "Attention! I need to see that you are all prepared for the coming battle! So we're going to have a little training exercise... I want you all to work together, and try to subdue me!"
Blackout knew his commander well enough to realize that the pony talking wasn't him. He also knew that there were only six shapeshifters within twenty miles, and only two were crazy enough to order two hundred ponies to attack them at once. Nightshade would have known not to use contractions when imitating Silver, so that left... "Alright, Asmodeus. Let's see what you're up too." Fifty earth ponies and unicorns quickly surrounded Silver/Asmo, and another fifty took to the air to block from above. ********************************************************************************* "I'm the one who should be thanking you. When we met, I was pretty messed up."
Asmo smirked, summoning up enough tentacles to surround the entire group of soldiers, and a few more inside the little dome they had seemed to create around him. "Make sure your next move is a good one." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "I understand. But so was I, kinda. You helped me get some closure on my birth givers. And you made me famous, so that's pretty awesome."
To their credit, only a few of the rookies panicked. After a bit of hesitation, the ones in the front row leveled their practice spears. "A-alright! Get him!" Six blunt-tip spears were thrust in Asmo's direction from six different angles. **************************************************************** "You earned that. Speaking of which, how's that going? We haven't had much chance to talk since I got back home."
Asmo caught all their spears with his inner tentacles and pulled the ponies closer as he suddenly shifted into his proper form with a twisted, toothy smile. "Surprise, motherbuckers!" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Pretty rad. Moving along pretty quick; not much else going on, and I already had the songs written for years, so we already have a first studio album recorded. Also got approached to do the instrumentals on some Japonese game soundtrack. Which, if we don't all die, might be pretty fun."
"Wow, you really are strong...!" he remarked to Maya. Upon hearing Silver's words, he attempted to turn on his side in her grasp.
Selena: (Had been drawing a rather complex diagram of what looked like specialized speakers and projection crystals positioned around the battlefield. Walks outside and tears the paper out, before watching it burn.) *On top of the bar, speakers and a few crystals appeared, alongside many others appearing around the battlefield, and if plotted on a map it would show a seemingly random pattern.*
Selena: (gets her guitar and smashes it to bits, before drawing a new electric guitar and after receiving it, plugs a crystal spike into it and then strums a few chords.) *The broken bits of the guitar catch fire and burn away to leave charred bits of paper to blow away in the breeze. As she strums the chords the speakers broadcast them and the crystals around the battlefield light up and send beams of energy in various colours and length, based on the notes in the chords being played, into the air. It looks a bit like a laser light show but in broad sunlight.*
Selena: Come here I'll tell you a secret. (To him) Most of them are for show. The crystal spike is the main focus. As long as I have one in the guitar or instrument, it'll work. Course, it'll be a bit weaker without the bigger crystals around, but it'll still work.(Pulls out another spike. Louder) Give this to that little metal Bat. She might want it.
Azrael took the crystal spike and set it aside. "So, I'm thinking. The world as we know it is certainly about to change forever. And that's if we succeed. There's a barstool right there who can serve drinks. So why not have several?"
He then rolled off of her. "Thanks," he said, before immediately flopping onto her with his elbow out.
"Drinks are free right now," Azrael replied. "You heard Maya announce that, surely." ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Maya took the elbow with a grunt. "Alright... I think that'd put down a regular pony, probably break ice."
