(I'd really like to get @Proxy and @Starlight Speedster into the RP a little more, if possible. This is our last time skip before the end of the first chapter of the roleplay, and I'd like to resolve some issues before we go on. I'll be sending a PM out fairly soon with more info.) He was almost asleep, his eyes closed and his breathing steady. "God, I can't get over the fact that I get the privilege of knowing you," he mumbled to her sleepily. It was almost difficult to tell if he was talking to her, or talking to himself, but his tone was full of adoration, and warm drowsiness.
(This gives me time to get away from my phone after this maybe. My activity on it has been ridiculously high haha) "Allons quelque part moins bruyant.." she whispered slowly, most likely talking in her sleep as a reaction to the noise.
(Oh, yeah. Don't use all your data!) He turned his head slightly, translating her words in his tired brain slowly. When he finally managed to decipher it, he paused for a moment and then chuckled. Brushing her hair out of her face, he settled back in and dozed off.
Cobiah looked at all the treasure in the hold. There was so much, and it was still growing! It almost rivaled what he'd seen in some of the Seatone Banks! If the captain agreed to his plan, he'd surely have enough money to start the fight against his father. He turned to Jade, and whistled. "This is almost more gold than I've seen in one place... how about you?"
Jade was speechless, and she shrugged in disbelief. "It's... ridiculously large," she said. "More than we had hoped for, I suppose, which is good, but I can't imagine anyone needing this much money."
(Again. sorry. Colege is being a twerp at the moment. Come Thursday, however, and I'm free from its clutches) "Alrighty then!" Jared declared. "Ladies first." He gestured toward the kitchen and let Ellia walk first, being polite.
(You can do it! Almost there.) Ellia nodded in thanks and began walking. Her face was thoughtful, and if Jared was intuitive enough, he might be able to notice that she seemed to be confused with something regarding him. "So, the things that you are passionate about are cooking and money, right? What else?"
Jared raised an eyebrow. "Erm.... Well, I like mythology. When we docked in Bainslough I rushed straight to the library to pick up a few books. It's always intrigued me." He explained.
She grinned. "So this trip must have been particularly appealing to you, yes? Chasing a lost treasure based on a legend? Sounds like a Jared dream come true."
She paused for a moment, her head turned as if listening carefully. "Do you trust those people?" she asked him.
"It's just so sad, y'know?" she said as they entered the kitchen. "I mean, could you imagine being so done with life that your entire colony just wants to die?"
"It is extremely sad," Jared said, unable to think of something to follow up with. He decided to change the subject. "What are you hungry for? What do you have in mind?" He asked.
"Agreed." He said, prying open a barrel to see its contents. "Never had been a fan of fish anyway. Now. Let's see..." He pulled out a couple of potatoes and a few carrots and put them on his cutting board. He walked over to a small box, containing water, and dunked his hands in it. He wiped his hands on a small cloth and began cutting up the vegetables. "If you want you can take a seat." He offered.
"Do you want any help?" she asked. "Idle hands are the devil's tools, y'know." She paused, a frown crossing her face. "Or... something like that."
"If you really want to. I mean... I don't mind." Jared said, going over to a pot to fill with some water. He looked over at Ellia, a serious look on his face. "Are you sure you know how to cook? It's a very, *very* delicate trade. One false ingredient and the captain could be poisoned!" He explained, trying to spook her. "Are you sure you want that to happen?"
She looked at him, unimpressed. The hint of a smile played on the corner of her lips, but she managed to refrain from laughing. "I think I'll be fine," she said sardonically, taking the knife from the counter. "Just tell me what I need to do."
"If you would be so kind as to cut up an apple or two, please," Jared said, putting sliced carrots and potatoes to one side and began to light a fire in the sandbox.
