"Uh. Don't drink that, maybe." Raven sipped on her drink, turned and smiled at Cricket. "Thanks, Cricket! It's not that cross-eyed mailmare, is it?" ~~~~~~~~~~~~ "We need better conversation topics," Azrael said.
"Nah," Nightshade said, taking another sip and letting out a small yelp, "it's supposed to do that." ********************************************************************************************* Cricket shrugged. "Maybe? The grey pegasus, right?" ********************************************************************************************* Blackout nodded. "Perhaps. What do you suggest?"
"Uh-oh... Hope it gets here in one piece." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "I don't know," Azrael replied quietly. "Truth be told, I'm having a harder time talking to this young pegasus than I expected. I wonder why that is."
He cleared his throat lightly. "Miiight be the drinks..." he spoke. "Anyway, what's on your mind right now?"
He thought about it for a moment, realising that Az had clearly gone through things worse than he could imagine. "Yeah... You're right." He then continued to drink. "Wonder what else there is to talk about before that snake thing comes... Aside from Raven's 18th, of course."
(The battle's obviously going to take a while, so we can either stall it and do character stuff, of jump in whenever everyone is ready.) As Apophis's hordes passed near the Crystal Empire, their numbers seemed to swell considerably, as though thousands of new wraiths had appeared out of nowhere. Leaving the Empire unmolested, the snake god continued south, where he knew an army awaited him.
"Well. Why don't you talk to me about your favorite historical event?" ~~~~~~~ Maya and Dusty took a moment to share what might be their final kiss in their long, millennium-spanning lives.
RepB: (Leaving a small box on the counter.) I think I'm going to focus my consciousness on slowing down the snake. RepM: Well Moonshine, I'm going to focus most of my consciousness on slowing down the snake. I'll still be able to talk to you though.
With that in mind, he thought back to a time when Black Saddle - his favourite band - performed their final show. "It was a while ago... Black Saddle performed their final show to their biggest crowd." He could recall how intricate and outlandish the performance was. "They performed everything the fans knew, followed by some songs that weren't all that known. Plus, they even got some pyrotechnics involved; it was just a really amazing event in time."
"Oh, well s*yay!*..." he responded to Azrael's state of death. "Either way, the show was really good and I'd love to experience it again."
Azrael shrugged. "I don't know a way we could do that. Unless..." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Raven's ears perked up, and she spun in her seat to face her. "Done so quick?"
RepB: (hearing Azrael and Blackened.) I apologize for eavesdropping but I can let you two revisit the concert. On one condition. No meddling with anything else, but watching the concert.
