So, this episode airs next Saturday... Personally, I like showcasing the fact that honesty isn't always the best policy. I myself know that from personal experience. Most of the trouble I've gotten myself into happened because of me voicing my honest opinion. And the same thing is happening right now with LostSanity. The guy needs to learn that sometimes, speaking without mincing words can be detrimental and hurtful, to him and to others. Also, Applejack is an underrated character, so I gladly welcome any Applejack-centric episodes.
Umm...no, I didn't. I have no idea what you are talking about. This is the thread for Episode 9, and I talked about Episode 9.
But anyway, I enjoyed this episode. The lesson in which, obviously, is that kidnapping ponies to make them do what you want is a fantastic idea with no foreseeable negative consequences.
It's official! Applejack has officially become the Ridley Wolf of MLP!!! Or is Rid the Applejack of Everypony? Why can't it be BOTH!? Anygoo, this was one of those episodes where you know the character is gonna get extremely carried away and make an ass out of themselves. Trust me, it's an easy trap to fall into. Good lesson for kids and adults alike... you don't have to like or understand something to appreciate someone else's love for it. Good lesson for anyone on the internet too. Always get a lot of enjoyment out of these episodes with Vern and AJ. They have a really cool dynamic and the fact that they are SO different makes for some good comedy and some even sweeter moments when they bond. Also, AJ's "oh snap" face when Vern makes her point... PRICELESS!! Tidbit time!!! Photo Finish has EYES!!! What next, DJ Pon3 has a voice? Don't know what it is about goth ponies but I LOVE them!! Did anyone else think of the video for "Literally My Life" when the yellow mare was talking? And of course, VERN JUST KEEPS GETTING COOLER AND COOLER!!!!!! Overall: 7/10
Dear Princess Celestia, Today I learned that strawberries are better than apples. Also, Applejack is kinda dense, huh? It seems these ponies have to keep relearning lessons. Maybe there was a reason you had them writing things down in letters to you, they seem a bit forgetful. I think there may be some illicit activity going on at Sweet Apple Acres. They may think they are sovereign ponies and above the laws of Equestria. Have they paid the grazing fees for their roaming cattle, btw? Faithfully yours, Dragonbait
I really liked this episode. I don't see how Applejack was flanderized or made to relearn anything. She was given a reason to believe that she was in the right for what she was doing and I don't recall an episode where she had to learn that there's a time and place for brutal honesty.
(viewer discretion warning) Spoiler You know... I almost feel like I should take this episode's lesson as a shot at me personally. But I'm pretty sure that's not the case. Not that something like this is going to change who I am or what I do. Because nothing has changed that before. Why start now? On to the episode. I liked this episode honestly. More than the last episode that's for sure. I'm still not sure why Rarity wanted Applejack as a judge. She doesn't know fashion. She knows apples and that's about it. So the problem ended up being slightly obvious. Still though. Who would have thought that Rarity could make a regular guitar do an electric guitar riff? WOW. Rarity's way of showing what Applejack did wrong was quite sly to be honest. Got her to realize her errors relatively quickly. Either way though... Being insulted for stating honest opinions huh? GEE. THAT SOMEHOW SEEMS FAMILIAR. I WONDER WHY. I can't really say much about this episode but it was a pretty decent episode and I really liked it. Don't worry I'm not going to take the 'lesson' personally because I'm fairly sure it wasn't a shot at me. Maybe. Either way this one was much better than the last one. Decent episode overall I'd say. Current Status: Stay: 80% Leave: 20% This probably won't last long considering what the next one is... For now though. It's all good.
