The episode was OK, it was neat to see the final result of the buitique I wonder where Vinyl Scrath lives, as from previous episodes it seemes like she lives in ponyville, however she seems to be having a job in manehatten? Also that spoon pony was annoying IMO >.> The format was great, making this whole story been told via an interview!
Sweet little episode with some chuckle-worthy humor. Also, at least one Pinkie clone survived!!! Wonder if we'll be finding any more as the season progresses!! Overall: 6.5/10 Not too shabby!
Spoiler NO SPOILERS! Coco Pommel needs to learn to cover her mouth when she's sneezing. Pinkie Pie clone and her face when she got the check. Also, I'm betting that Twilight at some point just went, "Meh... Alicorn magic time!" and poofed the final store setup into existence. I mean, you have alicorn magic! Use it!
Also, as they pan through the diner... Mad Men Jules and Vincent from Pulp Fiction This episode was better than you think. This was really well done.
Thoughts below. It's pretty much positive, but, I'll put it in spoilers anyway. Spoiler I actually really liked this one!! They made it seem like it was going to be a bad review and that was understandable. I kind of like how this episode was done too. We never saw what happened so it was like a flashback and also the interviews were hilarious at times. Did you see the extra Pinkie? That legitimately cracked me up. It was funny to see Twilight and co. try to act like Rarity and do what she wanted to do, and then, not surprisingly, it all failed on them quite badly and they quickly shifted to their regular selves. It also looks like Vinyl Scratch/DJ-PON3 is starting to become a recurring character now which I also like. I also like that they're keeping her mute. I really liked that in Slice of Life and sort of just made her 'cooler' for me. It's kind of hard to explain. I guess it makes her more mysterious? Either way this one had quite of few funny moments which I quite liked and the review actually seemed like a a good review and not the DOOM review that Twilight and co. made it seem like. Just a good all-around episode as far as I'm concerned with lots of funny moments.
I really wish that they'd gone with Vinyl Scratch, but you what? This doesn't even kill my headcanon that DJ PON3 is a stage name, with Vinyl being her real name. Hooray for stubborness!
Rather that Mad Men it felt like an How I met your Mother episode (While the episode runs as a sot of FlashBacks while they are on the bar (That also works for Family Guy) Also, for more how I met your Mother references, FlutterShy has Beavers and you can't deny Beavers are adorable...
Well, watched it twice now. First time I was a bit 'Meh, a bit slow to start and I'm really not getting this story line' Then watched it again this morning and realized just how much I had missed and this episode is a real hoot, especially the interviews with RD and Pinkie. The reference to the mirror pool had me in stitches.
What a great episode, it greatly manages to make "normal" things like a interview really funny. It had some great pop-references, two of the stallions in the diner looked a lot like Vincent and Jules from Pulp fiction and I'm pretty sure the inspiration for the reporter was J. Jonah Jameson from the Spider-Man comics. Four of the jokes really got to my sense of humor. - "I don't know the first thing about clothes. Pretty much all I can do is look at something and tell you if it's clothes or not. This chair? Not clothes." - The Pinkie Pie clone totally got me. - The Rarity Devil & Angel scene with Pinkie - And last but not least, when Pinkie sees the bill. (I really would love to see the bill XD) I definitely laughed a lot at this episode, giving it a solid 8/10
