She zipped up the cello case, and took the music off the stand, pulling the cello onto her back. She returned the score back to its original place on the shelves, and returned to him, slipping her hand in his. "Do you have anything you'd like to do now?"
She considered it with a frown. "Well..." she said, dragging out the word. "I need to put this cello away, and then I should probably visit the lab at some point. It is my job, after all."
"I see," he said, tapping his chin. "Well, I suppose I can find something to do to occupy my time while you do boring things."
"And taking notes. Lots of notes. That's boring," he said with a grin. "But work is work, I suppose."
She huffed and stuck her nose in the air. "Excuse me for liking my job," she teased. "I happen to take beautiful notes. Color coded and everything."
"That sounds like a lot of effort, but I'm sure they are lovely notes. So I suppose we'll be seeing each other at dinner or earlier?" he asked, tilting his head slightly.
Her eyes fluttered when he kissed her, and she sent him a coy smile. She shifted the weight of the cello on her back. "I'm going to go put this away," she said. "I'll see you at dinner, then?"
"Love you too," she said, giving him a small kiss. She squeezed his hand and then turned to go put the cello away, pulling her hair up in a bun as she walked.
He turned and walked out, his hands behind his back as strode off to do whatever it is he did in his free time. (I don't have anything planned, so time skip?)
(Zoom!) Poppy was a little late to dinner, but when she entered, she had a look on her face that Francis would now have come to recognize as the one that indicated she had been pulled away from her research. She was frowning slightly, and her eyes were unfocused as she walked. The same look had appeared on Lewis' Face when he had first met Francis m. There were indents around her eyes where her goggles had rested, and her curly hair was pulled back in the messy bun that seemed reserved only for her research.
Francis sat at the usual spot, aimlessly swirling a spoon in his coffee as he zoned out, unaware of his surroundings.
She saw him, and her expression softened. Sliding into the seat across from him, she gave him a grin. "Hey," she said. "Sorry I'm late."
(post 4000. We're getting closer!) He looked up at her, putting down the spoon. "Oh, is alright. I wasn't watching the time anyways. How was the lab?"
