Where do I begin? > Wanted to make purchases easier, so he invented PayPal >Didn't see transport as efficient enough, so he founded Tesla and made electric transport a viable option again. >Decided to "go pro" from building rockets and found SpaceX. >Is worth at least 16 to 17 billion dollars while juggling 2 huge companies. >As a native South Australian speaking, offered the state government so much resources to prevent another catastrophic storm destroying our energy supply, and if it wasn't built in 80 days, he would make it free >And just recently, basically gave up on Trump after he decided to abandon the Paris Conference. In his words, "You quit Paris, so I quit you." What have you done with your life, Lio?
I read about this. While it's a really interesting idea, there are just so many things that could go wrong.
So are we supposed to be more mad about the report on the Russian hacking or at the person who leaked it? Or, should I be more mad at the arsonist who started the fire or at the smoke alarm for telling me about it? Yes, I know it's not a perfect analogy, but it gets the point across.
The only reason to get mad at leakers is if they are endangering American lives via the leaks (a la Chelsea Manning). Yet here we are, where all the Republicans in Congress except a few, and the small minority of Trump supporters think we should be getting mad at the smoke alarm (going off your analogy) and completely ignore the fire. Like this! https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...2ab5745db2e_story.html?utm_term=.76786396fccc / https://www.apnews.com/13b494bab84d...-Russia-hackers-breached-voting-software-firm This guy leaks something the American people should know; that our voting system may actually be compromised in some way via Russian hacking. And then this happens; http://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-trump-russia-leaks-idUSKBN18W2VE
Did I read Trump's tweet correctly? He said his nominations were being obstructed by the democrats. He had the Senate eliminate the filibuster, so they can't delay any confirmations. Remember the "nuclear option"? Did he forget something that important that he made happen? Or another sign of dementia or possibly Alzheimer's? In either case, I expect better from the president, especially for something he actually did make happen...
Here's the thing, there are literally dozens of critical positions open right now (FEAM exec, NSA exec, etc) along with hundreds of appointee level openings. But Trump has yet to offer even a canidate for those positions, or even a list of people he'd like. And tbis is a problem that will continue to worsen as the Russia investigation grinds towards Trump, making working in an appointee position with him political suicide. Basically, he cant be wrong, so he blames the Dems
Comey has his opening statement for tomorrow out... https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...stimony-about-what-trump-asked-him-annotated/
TL;DR for peeps - Trump asked Comey to stop investivating Flinn, as well as the Russia investigation as Trump claimed it was "a cloud impairing his ability to help the country". Comey was also asked by Trump to ask for his job, as well as a pledge of loyalty. Comey also talked with Jeff Sessions to see if Sessions could convince Trump to stop with the one-on-one talks with Comey, as Trump didnt understand when Comey told him the meetings were highly inappropiate. Sessions never responded or even gave an answer to Comey's request. Finally, Comey was asked by Trump if he was under investigation, to which Comey replied that he was not under direct investigation in a counter-intelligence investigation
Oh, also before anyone says it's hearsay... https://www.law.cornell.edu/rules/fre/rule_803 Look at #1 and how Comey took his notes.
http://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-trump-russia-idUSKBN18Z0HC Here's a good overview article of Comey's testimony today, and further found a list of good key points Comey directly started or refereed to Trump was not a "target" of the Russia investigation that is currently focused on Flynn, but it could "logically" expand to include him. Trump never asked Comey about Russian interference in election after the initial briefing on it from Comey. Trump initiated all calls with Comey Trump did ask for loyalty Trump said he "hoped" Comey would stop investigation into Flynn Russia without a doubt were the ones who engaged in election interference. Comey is sure Mueller is investigating Trump obstruction of justice and has handed over his memos. Comey fully believes Trump fired him to change how the Russia investigation was being conducted. Comey hopes there are tapes and gives full permission to publish them. Comey had a friend publish his memo in the hopes of causing the appointment of a Special Counsel. Comey felt pressured by Trump to drop the Flynn investigation. Comey said it seemed like Trump wanted quid-pro-quo for keeping him as FBI director. Comey explicitly called out WH reports about himself and FBI being in disarray as "lies" Comey believes Pence knew about concerns on Flynn. Comey "doesn't think he should answer" if he thinks Trump colluded with Russia in an open setting. Comey has reasons for believing Sessions would recuse he couldn't discuss in open setting. Comey was concerned about Loretta Lynch trying to make the FBI mirror Clinton's campaign language on her emails investigation. Comey emphasizes his trust in Mueller and says he will get to the bottom of the Russia investigation Flynn may have lied to the FBI about his ties to foreign nations
"At Trump's Cabinet meeting, flattery is flavor of the day" - http://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-trump-cabinet-idUSKBN19400P Trump literally called a cabinet meeting for his cabinet to heep praise on him and claim "few presidents have ever passed more legislation" than he has And on a more serious note; http://www.pbs.org/newshour/rundown...sidering-perhaps-terminating-special-counsel/ Is he literally just wanting to do everything Nixon did?
https://thinkprogress.org/epa-proposes-two-year-methane-rule-delay-7ef37949a2c8 They admit they are going to let more kids get sick for profit. I never want to hear about the right having a moral high ground ever again. This is horrible.
As much as I dislike Donald Trump I have to admit that not everything he says is wrong. The best example is what he says about my home country. Germany really has an export surplus and that's unhealthy on a long term. The damage we do is already visible in other European countries, the consequence of Germanys well doing economy is that other European countries economies like in Spain or Italy suffering from that. On the other side I think it's a bad decision to pull out of the Paris climate deal, climate change is a problem that can only be overcome when the whole world works together. Most of the world will have a huge problem if the average temperature is increased by more than 2°. At last I have to compliment you all, this here is the most civil discussion about Donald Trump I've ever seen.
Then: Donald J. Trump on Twitter Now: Trump Says Transgender People Will Not Be Allowed in the Military I'm tired of all this "winning".
Pentagon takes no steps to enforce Trump's transgender ban Apparently Trump hasnt even put out an official order through the appropiate channels so literally nothing has changed
