(Fair point.) "My first time in this reality how am I supposed to know that. I saw you on the TV fighting."
Once Nightshade and Blackout were done speaking about Guard business, Nightshade sat back down. Woo. Exciting. ************************************************************************** It took almost half an hour to prepare the ship, but eventually, Rep, Blackheart, and Moonshine all made it to the bridge, where a skeleton crew had gathered. "Are you ready?" Blackheart asked Rep.
Raven rolled her eyes. "Never said you were supposed to, just chatting, hon. Hey, Nightshade. What'd you three talk about?" "Whelp." Asmo took Az with him and sat back at the bar. "What are you gonna do, my guy? Now that you're on hiatus?" Azrael shrugged. "Maybe take it slow." He tapped on the bar counter, and Maya knew that meant it was time for a new bottle of whiskey. He took a giant swig. "Take you for a... test drive, later down the line."
"Just boring Guard stuff," Nightshade replied. "Some rich bull down south is mad because we arrested his grandson. Oh, and apparently there's been some trouble down in Tartarus. Nothing serious now. Could be a problem later." ************************************************************************************************** The ceiling of the hanger opened up, and the ship was lifted up a massive shaft for almost half a mile before finally reaching an equally massive hatch. It took several minutes for the hatch to open completely, in which time Blackheart and Moonshine finished takeoff preparations. Finally, the hatch opened, the docking clamps were removed, and the Princess Twilight Sparkle lifted off under her own power. Below the ship, they could very little save for a few mountaintops and a field of clouds. Those who were familiar with Equestrian geography would realize that they were in the Crystal Mountains.
"Belial." Nightshade's eyes narrowed. "He's active. Gathering followers. Gaining power." ****************************************************************************** Blackheart nodded. "Nopony in their right mind comes this far north. We have total privacy."
Raven skipped a heartbeat. "Say what?! But how?" Asmo spat his drink out on Az. "WHAT?!" Azrael growled and wiped his face of the beer. "Really? What did you overhear, Asmodeus?" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Down in Tartarus, a strange figure was moving about, rallying the souls of the dead, and freeing the imprisoned living. It certainly had to be Belial, but he had taken on a form that was less solid, primarily made of flame while he hurried about. Many of them were put there by Azrael, but this wasn't just about that anymore. In exchange for their freedom, they would seek out and destroy every single being who frequented the bar where he was condemned.
It seemed as she wasn't going to get the information she wanted. She went over to the bar. "Do you need anything more from me before I leave Maya?"
Maya shook her head. "No, thanks. Careful out there." Asmo motioned to the TV. "That, Azzy!" Azrael turned and looked. "...Oh. Yes. Megadoom is on prolonged hiatus."
She wasn't going out there. Grimlock and Megatron where sent to scout this world weather Megtron knew or not. She was going home. She turned around and sent a recall signal to her father's soldiers. A Demon Bridge opened up in the empty space in front of her and she stepped through it.
Blackened looked towards the TV to see the news about Megadoom. "Wait, they're on a break now? That's a shame, they were really great live..."
"Not from a vocals standpoint," Azrael chimed in. "The lead singer always sounded like he had a stick up his flank."
"He managed to consume a fragment of Apophis's soul. Barely a fraction of a percent, but you remember how strong that damn snake was." ***************************************************************************************************** "We're going to the edge of the system. About three hundred light minutes."
Rep: Be careful doing so. Last I was informed there are a few cargo convoys headed through the area around the system. Shouldn't be a problem but...good to prepared for everything, right? Just send a basic signal announcing the ship on basic frequency
"Got it!" Moonshine slammed the comm button. "LOOK OUT B*TCHES!!! PONIES COMIN' THROUGH!!!" Before Blackheart could stop her, she flipped open the cover on the warp button and pressed it with both hooves. As the ship entered hyperspace, Blackheart sighed. "It would, perhaps, have been a good idea to enter the coordinates before jumping." ************************************************************************************************************************************** Nightshade shook her head. "We don't know that yet. It could be decades before he's strong enough to escape. Centuries, even."
"He's related to Az," Raven said in a hushed, hissy tone. "At the very least, he could send something after us." The bar door swung open hard, almost breaking off its hinges. Standing in the doorway was Navaja, the strange Assassin they'd worked with leading up to the great battle. Most ponies hadn't seen him, or even heard a word about him since the event. He was carrying a cloth sack in his teeth, some red stains near the bottom. Under his hood, one could see a very serious look on his face. He began beelining up to the bar counter, ignoring everypony who tried to greet him. "Uhh... what's up?" Maya asked, seeing Navaja storm up to her. "Been a while, dude..." Navaja plopped the sack down onto the counter with a hard thud, demanding, "Abrelo." "Oh... Okay?" Maya slowly opened up the sack, taking a shocked step back when it fell, revealing the severed head of some beast from Tartarus. This beast had a strong resemblance to bar regular Asmodeus, albeit a lighter shade of green, spines for a mane, and actual pupils, albeit in the form of slits. "I want to know why a monster, looking very similar to one of your regulars, came after me in my chamber," he hissed, trying to stay hushed as to not scare anypony who didn't notice the severed bucking head on the counter. "It killed three of the best Assassins I had getting to me. It had tentacles, like your friend. Please. Tell me you know something." "I..." Maya closed the bag back over the head. "I don't know anything, dude. I'm sorry."
