Edmond: (Upon being poked, kinda rocks with the force imparted, before his eyes flutter) Selena: Mmm-k then.
As the medics stepped back, the security officers circled the pod and aimed their weapons at the creature within. The ranking officer stepped forward. "Greetings. Do you understand me?"
Edmond: (Groans in slight discomfort) Y-yeah, I can understand you, a bit garbled, translation matrices still reloading. Had to shut down the non-essential of my implants. (Tries standing up, to only fall back, and grimace.)
"He doesn't seem to be in the fighting mood," the officer commented. "Get him to sickbay. I want a guard by the door and another in the room with him at all times, at least until the commander has seen him. The medics quickly loaded the man onto a stretcher, and had him on a bed in the medical office within a few minutes. The ship's chief medical officer, a Dracaryn doe called Dr. Nidel, examined her new patient. "You're badly dehydrated. With your permission, I'd like to start intravenous rehydration."
Edmond: C-carefully, (A beeping starts from one of his cybernetics, before stopping) Translation Matrices are rebooted... Where's my sword.? *His sword should still be in the escape pod, however it was in a mode making it appear, and register as a petrified wood stick, that was important and shouldn't be disposed of.*
"How'd we get so far this unreasonably quickly?" Navaja questioned. "Just go with it," Raven said bluntly.
As they walked into Hollow Shades, they walked past a pair of bat ponies talking. "Hey, remember that time that Pony of Shadows jerk showed up and we all evacuated the town because that was the smart thing to do?" "Why yes I do, friend! That was certainly a thing that happened, which explains why the town was empty when Princess Twilight showed up!" ******************************************************************** "Close enough," Nidel said, jamming the IV needle into his arm. "Not sure about your sword. Ask the commander when he gets here?""
"His name is Silver Crescent, from the planet Equus," Dr. Nidel replied. "He should be along any minute."
"Hey, why're we like, almost never around when *squee!*es like the Pony of Shadows come to mess up Equestria?" Raven questioned. "We brought down a snake god, why doesn't Tia ever call on us?" "Because we slaughter anything that bucks with us," Asmo said bluntly. "Those Element horses fix ponies. Face it. We'd be like a last resort for threats like that."
"My Little Pony: Kill 'Em All." Nightshade chuckled. "I'd watch it, but it doesn't sound very 'TV-Y7.'" "Give the wall a rest, Shady," Blackout sighed. "We usually are involved. During the Changeling invasion, the Night Guard worked to protect and evacuate civilians. We pulled ponies out of Ponyville when Discord broke loose. We got as many as we could into shelters when Tirek attacked. We put together an attack force when Sombra reappeared. Thank Faust we never needed to mobilize it. And when the Storm King showed up, we were putting together a resistance unit. Which, as it turned out, we didn't need." He sighed. "You were at Godsfall. You saw what they could do. The princesses and the Element bearers did more damage to Apophis than the rest of us combined. They're... they're just on another level." "True," Nightshade agreed. "My dad went after Tirek. In the forest, while Princess Twilight and her friends were still in the Harmony cave. It was the only fight I've ever seen him lose." Silver had, in fact, lost badly. The centaur, powered up with the combined magic of four alicorns, Discord, and half of Equestria, had knocked him aside like an insect, breaking nearly every bone in his body. ******************************************************************************* While his daughter told the story of one of his few defeats in the last century, Silver himself was walking into the medbay to meet the alien that had brought aboard his ship. "Good afternoon. My name is Silver Crescent. And you are?"
"Just goes to show you," Nightshade said. "No matter how tough you are, there's always somepony out there tougher. A lesson I probably should have learned before taking on Az." She chuckled. The scars from that fight were still faintly visible on her face, though they had healed enough that she no longer used magic to hide them. "We're gonna have to have a rematch one of these days, you know." The armory was in a large underground warehouse just outside the village, near the Night Guard memorial and the statue of Cannonball Run. The old mayor had died just six months earlier, his passing mourned by every distillery and cigar factory in Equestria. ********************************************************* Silver nodded. "Space lag. Happens to the best of us."
Azrael sighed. "No. We're not. I've met my match already, Nightshade. I almost don't want to step into the ring again." Raven rolled her eyes, whispering, "Babe, you wanna chit chat with him about that? I kinda just did it to look extra metal for my fans..."
Selena: (Waiting to go into the armory) Edmond: No. Time and Space don't work the same across Universes, and same goes for Black Holes. Time doesn't work right inside. My personal ship is now part of a Black Hole's singularity. I launched my escape pod in time to orbit the singularity, but I couldn't leave, until I guess, I just did.
