Response to all of your posts: First of all, Derpy doesn't have a daughter. That's headcanon shared by a very minor sect of the fan base, not even enough for it to be fanon. Second, you're projecting onto Derpy. Hard. Stop it. Third, no. Derpmeister isn't real. She doesn't have thoughts all the time of "Buh wuh muh eyes". It wouldn't even be character development because she's a background pony who almost never does ANYTHING in the show. Bottom line, stop projecting and assuming headcanon/fanon as Canon.
I remember the last time they tried to fix her eyes. The resulting uproar was loud enough to break glass on the other side of the planet, and rightfully so. As they say, you can't fix perfection. Basically what I'm saying is, she's better off with the messed-up eyes, imo. She'd still be a cutie patootie tho.
Well, now that she's actually been given some characterization, and a backstory with her eyes, I doubt they'd ever change her.
I'm honestly wondering why having her eyes 'fixed' would change my opinion of her. She'll always be great the way she is!
Her eyes are definitely part of what makes her unique, but not the only thing. As long as she remains herself, I'd be happy.
