"Let it go?" he suggested. "Is there another option?"
"I suppose..." she said slowly. "I just... can I test it on myself?"
He frowned. "I'm not sure how that would work."
"I want to make sure this is right, but I don't want to do it on you again."
"I'm not sure if you can do it to yourself.$
"Could you hold it?" she asked, extending her hands to him. "And then throw it at me?"
"I don't want to," he said flatly, standing up, "but okay."
She nodded, giving the void to him gently. It was quite large.
He took it, his head tilted uncertainly.
She stood in front of him and nodded, gesturing to him. "Okay. Go ahead."
He pushed it toward her, letting go.
It captured her and she gasped in pain as it surrounded her.
He diminished it, his brow furrowed. "Are you okay?"
She was on her knees but looked up at him, smiling weakly. "Wow," she said. "I'm badass."
He offered his hand. "I can heal you."
She took it, standing up unsteadily.
His touch seemed to make her feel better immediately.
She relaxed instantly, closing her eyes peacefully. "Oh. Thanks, Zad..."
He nodded, pulling away. "Would you like to take a break?"
Her eyes flew open and she looked up at him. "Break? I can't take a break."
