Another thing I would state is that you have whoever is going to be the enemy kick off of a moon or a planet that is uninhabited by any of the players. This way you have a place for the final conflict where we kick them out of the Hope system. Secondly have them invade two inhabited planets, not sure if you want to do mine seeing as I have titan legions stationed there >>, this way we get involved directly with the fight. Before them invading though have the first battle ground on a new planet that is being colonized by one of us. I can play the role of the faction that comes in along with another at the nick of time to repulse the attack, but only to find that the enemy used it as a diversion. I would really suggest Sanctuary as one of the planets to be attached just because of the concentration of Snow's and Cobra's forces.

It doesn't really matter what's attacking what matters is how it happens, not to mention you might want to post up in the OOC asking what the defenses are of each planet and what types of ships are in each navy and where those ships are. For my vessels and guard units all you need to do is look up Warhammer 40k, or ask me, how they will react. The others I would ask how their units would react. After you do keep that all in mind as you play it out and make sure the others don't take over the enemy and play them out that's your job not ours.

Well first off what was your idea? Mine happened to be an invasion from the warp, or an invasion from a hostile race.

Let me guess you're setting up the fighting part aren't you? If so I have a few ideas if you're willing to hear them out.
