Who, me? I'm all self-taught, so I don't know... but here goes. :derpe:

The main thing is practice. Getting your lines down is an important thing to start with. Try some excersizes where you stroke a line, then you try to follow over that line 9 more times with regular strokes, (of pencil or tablet.) It's control practice, you build up control and see how often you are able to accomplish your goal; getting the same stroke over and over.

Then there's art style. To get into your own art style - first find someone you really want to be like... and begin by emulating them. I can try and find the online tutorial I found for emulating style, but trust me - after shifting your style towards theirs, your own will make its appearance.

For my ponies, I initially emulated Lauren Faust's sketches from Deviant Art, but since then my ponies have taken a bit of their own appearance. Otherwise, the best way to improve is to keep doing it.
