He paused, thinking how to respond. "Are you okay?"
"I apologize," she told him, "but you're going to lose some arguments."
"I would hope so," he said. "You're my favorite, too."
Francis sat down, noticing her absence. He quickly took out his phone and discreetly messaged her. "Everything okay?"
"I'd rather explore," she said. "Sleeping can wait!"
"Probably just us, for now."
(Yep!)
"Probably," she said with a nod.
He grinned, catching her hand. "Just teasing."
Miles and Francis walked back together, Francis still holding his stomach.
"Yeah, I could sleep there. I probably have at one point," she said, tapping her chin in thought.
"I would ask to test that theory, but I don't want to get lost."
Miles turned to Francis, offering a hand so he could get up. "Honestly, punching him was the best feeling."
"No, that'd be drowning. Drowning is not sleeping."
"That's fine," he said. "You would get us lost anyways."
"I don't care if it concerns me," he said, reaching for his bag, which had a baseball bat duct taped to it. "Leave."
"True," she said. "I could probably sleep anywhere, though."
"Driving would probably be quicker. There's not much to see."
Miles stood intimidatingly above him, wide-eyed and threatening. "Get out of here."
"I'm glad," she said, before tilting her head. "Do you usually not sleep well?"
