He set her down on the bed gently, brushing her hair back before turning and heading for the door.
He would hear the smile in her voice. "I thought you might have been a dream..."
She looked up, her brows furrowing. "Where... where are you going?"

He rested his head on her shoulder. "I'm so excited, you know? To do this."
He returned after a moment before sighed, coming over and picking her up gingerly.
