"We need bodies," he said roughly. "They're going to order an entire evacuation of the area. We need people to help."
He laughed slightly, looking over his shoulder. "No. No, it isn't. But you already knew that, right?"
Victor was standing there, his dark hair drenched. "Osiris. Hi."
There was a knock on Dahlia and Osiris' door. Dahlia didn't wake, but she stirred, shifting off his lap and muttering to herself.
Victor had been on the front lines, working to manage the damage. Some of the Rogues who lived closer to the creek had already had to evacuate....
(Yoop!)
Victor laughed, a surprisingly gentle noise from him. “There’s a good boy.”
"Hey Caly," Victor said gently, picking up the mouse. "How're you doing, bud?"
Victor also looked over thoughtfully. "The mouse seems tired, but we need to invigorate him. Come on. Outside." * * * Dahlia was leaning over...
"Hm..." he mused, looking over at her. "Want to train Caly?" * * * She hummed under her breath, kneeling under the green grass."
"No," he replied. "But I'm a person of action, Nas. I like to do things." * * * They went out in the sun and Dahlia looked up for a moment...
"What a wait. Okay." * * * She gave him a grin, going over to the door and putting on her oversized hat. "Great."
"For how long?" he asked, frowning?" * ** "I already have the seeds," she said, standing up. "I'm going to go get started."
He returned to the pot, looking at her expectantly. "Now what, Captain?" * * * "Berries," she said cheerfully. "Berry plants."
"Don't worry. I beat you anyway," he said smoothly, scraping the vegetables into the pan. * * * She took the other side and they spread it...
"I would never be that clumsy." * ** "Well... let's make the bed. I want to try to do some gardening today."
He raised an eyebrow. "Like I say. Coward." * ** She sat up too, rubbing his back quickly. "No, don't worry. I'll do it."
"I'm right, though," he said primly. "It's fine. I get it." * * * "Good shower," she agreed, laying on her stomach. "I should probably clean up...
He laughed lowly, shaking his head. "Coward." * ** She came back out, her hair wet and the clothing on, coming over to the bed.
He glanced over at her. "I bet I'm faster than you." * * * She gave him a goofy grin before closing the door to change.
