She looked up at him brightly, turning to him and setting down the bags over her shoulder. "You love me, right?"
He shuddered slightly, his hand coming up to cup her jaw. "You're messing with me..."
She returned about an hour and a half later, struggling to get something in through the door, panting slightly.
He smiled, looking up at her before lying back on the bed with her, curling around her playfully.

He rested his hands on her waist, opening her eyes to look at her. "I'm so glad to see you," he told her gently. "I know I keep saying that, but...
"I love you too," she replied, reaching a hand up to brush his jaw gently. "See you soon."
He exhaled, pulling her closer to him as his eyes closed. "It was probably a good idea, though... Alyssa has a lot of them."
"Of course you are," she said, pulling away from him. "I won't be long."
"Huh," he replied quietly, kissing her cheek gently. "It's been a long time."
She squinted for a moment before approaching him. "You're... like, my favorite person I've ever met," she told him, kissing his cheek. "Seriously."
He looked down at her, raising one eyebrow. "What are you doing?"
She looked over at him in something adjacent to shock. "You did what?"
He sat on the edge of the bed, rubbing her back gently.
She laughed a little. “No, I got it. How do you have money? Just in general?”
“I just really missed you,” he admitted, resting his forehead against hers.
She gathered up some of the bigger items in her arms, going to dispose of them. “I should probably go to the store to get some cleaning supplies...”
He moved his face to kiss her mouth, pulling her closer.
She looked around before kissing his cheek. “You’re amazing,” she said appreciatively before going over to gather up some of the rubble.
