Spoiler: * I gave Eluuna a couple of "special privileges" for the start of this RP. Suffice to say, she is not with the starting group. Celestia looked at the ponies gathered around her. Although she only had one night to gather a group of stalwart minds and adventurers, she seemed pretty satisfied with the results. Even Luna had volunteered the services of her greatest guardian, Silver Crescent. She addressed those before her. "Good morning, everypony. I'm so very pleased that you all could answer my summons. As I disseminated to you all in my summons, it seems that some sort of alien life form has come to our world, and is unable to return home because she needs a certain precious material, which she calls 'Adamant.' Now, I've consulted the old tomes, and I had found nothin on this...Adamant. Therefore, I believe that you all and I shall pay a personal visit to Cor De Mane and ask her as to the nature of Adamant, and find out if we can assist her." Her horn lit with golden energy which slowly enveloped the entire group. "Now, without further ado, let's make haste." Within moments, a bright flash burst forth and the group suddenly found themselves outside the town of Cor De Mane. They could tell because of the signpost before them, which clearly read, "Cor De Mane." That is, if one could read a slightly charred sign that was upside-down and in three pieces... Celestia's eyes widened in horror. "Great Rainbows! What happened here?!" The town appeared to be in complete shambles. Several buildings were smoldering, and the smell of death and ashes was everywhere. Searching through the rubble was a cyan mare with a glossy, red mane. Every now and then, the pony would emit a light blue beam of light from her eyes, which would seem to scan the area around her, then it would turn off, she'd sigh and despondently return to her search.
Yoso looked around at the ruins. He approached the burnt sign and brushed some of the ash off, inspecting it. "Yooo... You, wit da lazer eyes! What da hell happened here, man!?" He called out to the pony that was scanning the area.
Silver said nothing, and watched the mysterious mare with curiousity. He was used to strange sights, but this creature was something new. He decided that it would be wise to not provoke her. If she was responsible for the destruction of Cor De Mane, she doubtless had the ability to easily destroy any of the ponies in the the group. Holly sniffed the air and whined in confusion. The strange mare didn't smell right. It was like she wasn't even a real pony.
"Misakitonic, had books about Space and it's mystical energy but nothing about this mare. Whatever it is it isn't using a horn to do the eye thing." Voidheart observed the situation with intrigue. She knew it couldn't be anything from this world although she did know whatever was happening her ability to connect to the universes energy would somehow come in handy.
The cyan mare stopped scanning the area and turned her attention to Yoso. She stared for a few moments, then flashed a bright grin. "Indigenous Organics!" She trotted toward them, then took notice of Holly and stopped. A beam eminated from her eyes as she scanned the timberwolf. After a second, the scan ended and the cyan pony remarked, "Fascinating! We are very pleased!" She then turned her attention toward Celestia, and subsequently scanned her as well. "Very fascinating!" After a second or two, the pony greeted the group. "Greetings! You must be the ones that the Organics mentioned. The...Celestia, am I correct? I am Zero-Two-Eff-Four." She bowed slightly. She turned her attention to Yoso again. "There was an unfortunate accident and many Organics here perished. There is one remaining though because I detect the life signature of one of your kind. I am attempting to locate it."
"Whoa! There's someone still here? Hell no!" He closed his eyes and stood completely motionless for a minute. He suddenly quickly lifted his hoof at one of the piles of wreckage a good distance away, and a pillar of stone shot out of the ground, sending some of the burnt building away. "Damn. Should'a been under there. I guess the old sense ain't proper after that teleport."
Silver turned to Holly. "If somepony is still alive, we need to find them. You know what to do." Holly gave an affirmative bark and ran towards the center of the destroyed town, trying to pick up the scent of the missing pony. Silver then turned his attention back to 02F4. "What exactly happened here? What sort of accident can kill an entire town? And more importantly..." He stared directly into the strange mare's eyes. "...did YOU cause the accident?"
"Im not sure about the whole accident. perhaps I can pinpoint where it was created so better be ready. I get quite dainty and light headed when I become one with the universe." her horn and eyes glowed as she became slightly opaique before collapsing and joining the real world. "Nope can't seem to find a source. Whoever you are. you are from way beyond the universe we are situated."
Thorngage was sitting at the back of the group, being quiet & listening to all the conversing, watching 02F4 wearily
(Augh! So sorry!) Aqua peered out from behind a smoldering building. Her horn glowed as small puddles of water came from the earth. She watched the group, her long blue mane draping over her shoulders.
Holly ran towards the new Unicorn, barking excitedly. Silver called out to both of them. "Holly! Stand down! We don't want to frighten her! You there! Behind the building! We need to ask you some questions!"
Voidheart got an inkling that the source of the thing that destroyed the town was from...the sky. Most definitely not the cyan mare. 02F4 backed away nervously when Silver asked about the town's destruction. [size=-2]"Suspiscion... Not hostility..."[/size] She blinked a few times, then replied, "I am most definitely not the one responsible for the destruction of the Organics that resided here. It was..." She suddenly blinked several times in rapid succession. "We never want to bring indiginous Organics into our battles. Please don't ask again, because I will be obligated to tell you...." Suddenly, her eyes widened and she seemed to perk right up out of her doldrums. "Life signature detected! The organic is close!"
Aqua gasped, and water began to rise as she grew more and more nervous. She returned to behind the building, and wiped away the tears. Her horn glowed, and she administered water to a burn on her thin left foreleg as she tried to think of what to do.
A huge gust of wind pushed Aqua closer to the group. "Ey! She's here." Aqua lost control of her water as it carried her over to the group under Yoso's commmand.
Aqua flailed in fear, and tried to yelp, but couldn't. Her horn glowed as she fought viciously to get out of the wind.
"Whatever you are, you have at least some of the answers we seek. We will continue this conversation later, Zero-Two-Eff-Four." Silver walked away from the group and slowly approached the frightened Unicorn. "We mean you no harm, miss. Please calm down. It is very important that we learn what happened here, and you clearly need medical attention."
"yeah, it's definitely not the mare. When I was in the connection it felt like it came from the sky. Such as an arial or based on this situation more likely an orbital bombardment." Void informed her teammates before confronting 02f4. "Since I can connect to the universe, you should tell us. I already know your not from this world and whatever caused this devastation came from the sky. So what are you and what happened here."
02F4 shuffled her hooves. Then she glanced downward, then to the side. It was obvious to anyone that she was trying desperately to avoid the question that Void asked her. Finally, she sighed, or at least made a sound that sounded like a sigh. Then she said, "As per my programming, I'm obligated to not resist insistant questioning. The ones that destroyed the Organics..." She glanced back toward Aqua, "Save for one... Was a being called The Symbiotry. They are bitter enemies of my kind, The Collective. Our warring has spanned many planetary systems... We had hoped we could gather the materials we require before The Symbiotry caught up with us..." Celestia stepped forward. "Miss...um, Zero... We'll do what we can to assist you, but if we also have to face this... Symbiotry... Know that we, the Equestrians, are more than capable." Despite Celestia's words, 02F4 didn't seem convinced. She merely turned away and replied, "We don't want to bring the Equestrians into our battles..."
Suddenly, 02F4 seemed to tense up. Her eyes lit with a red light and her voice became more robotic-sounding. "Enemy Organic Detected." Before Celestia could react, 02F4 hopped back and turned her head completely around as a long, canon-like object appeared from a hatch on her back. "Target Acquired." In a flash, several small, fast-moving projectiles spewed forth from the canon on her back toward the ground, where the others would notice a small burrow trail, such that a mole would make. The trail suddenly split into two more trails making a total of three. 02F4 concentrated her fire on the first one as it came toward her. Just before it reached her hooves, it stopped. However, before she could fire on the other mounds, a creature burst forth from each one. They didn't seem to have a definitive form, but everyone could see that the creatures possessed a mouth filled with sharp fangs, two mantis-like front legs, and two powerful hind legs. The torso was about the length of a pony's and it was covered in short, spinelike hairs reminiscent of a porcupine. They both emitted a high-pitched screech and began heading toward Celestia and 02F4. Aqua would recognize these creatures as one from the night before, but they looked slightly different. They looked...for lack of a better term, "more evolved."
