For this somewhat minor position, we will be voting on which of the two CHARACTERS would be better suited for the part of the Town Researcher... who, in the first town, uncovers something ancient which helps the main characters on their way. Please remember; I condone advertisement of this poll, please do not try and influence any votes. If a character voted into this position was nominated for other positions, they will be removed from the other positions. Quill Inkwell Place of Residence: Library: "The Open Tome" Important Notes on Background: Quill hasn't been in town very long. He claims that he initially arrived as a representative of "A university that specializes in non-traditional magic". He took on the job of Head Librarian after it was revealed that the previous one disappeared under "mysterious circumstances." He doesn't seem overly concerned about that fact, however, since attaining his title, he doesn't set hoof outside the library, even for food and drink (which he has delivered to him). He's read a number of the books in the library and can recite passages from some of them from memory. Personality: Friendly enough, Quill makes a point to avoid any direct hostilities with the PCs, although it would be evident that he seems reserved and sometimes aloof, like there's something he doesn't want anyone to know. Anything Else Making You a Good Choice: I think Quill would be a good choice because he's got the whole name recognition thing going for him, and he hasn't been in anything substantial since Lady Of Dreams. William Cawley Occupation: Scientist Personnality: Serious and studious, William usually prefers to stay hidden in his dark lab and library than simply put a hoof outside. Secluded and unknown to everyone, he always wished to discover the secret behind conscience; why are we able to think? His researches lead him to psychology, as well as psychological impacts. If the brain was forced to think, then it would be true conscience that lead his thoughts. His researches lead him to change a pony's gender and race, to study the impact behind it, as well as keeping the sanity level of the patient high enough, for him to stay alive. Sadly, he had to be a test subject after the first patient became insane and burned down the lab, and killed his research team. Changeling blood connected a pony to a certain hive's mind, with no master; it changed the way ponies thought. To William, it gave him something more; a weird conscience separated from his own, named Saul Laski, who took control over him a few times. Weaving forbidden magic, it happened a few times that he lost control and killed other ponies. To keep the civilians safe, he locked himself in his library, away from civilization, on some mountain. But one day, he promised himself to have his revenge on the one who caused it all; Shift.
