Ok I know I have not been involved very much in General chat, but I decided to do this. A positive little thing, something I have not done in a long while, sense we all know that something that takes a long time to come up with winds up being pretty darn decent, at least for me. As you all probably know by now I am a huge listener of Two Steps From Hell. This is just one of the greatest orchestral bands out there in the world, but it is the name of the song titles that makes me want to make this little thread. I will post the songs below with what I am trying to say. First is "Fight the Machine": this song comes to mind because we as a community fight to keep My little Pony: Friendship is Magic in the air of good light. Basically we fight to keep the community as friendly as possible. The main way we fight for our community is by spreading the word of why we enjoy the show and how it keeps us together to those who think ill of us for liking the show. Even though this is at times an up hill battle. Second is "Strength of A thousand Men": the reason why this song comes to mind is that there are thousands of bronies out there that can help show others that we are definitely a separate community in the world and that as a whole we care for one another. I believe in some ways that the Brony community is large enough to be a small nation, just putting that out there. Third and Finally is "United we Stand Divided we fall.": this song comes to mind because even though some members might drop off here and there we continue to gain more members to replace them. As a whole we are just one big and happy family, no pun intended there, that looks out for one another. The mods and addmins are the parent figures while the rest of us are simply brothers and sisters looking out for one another either here on the sight our out in the real world. We always know that we count on the person to our left or our right here on everypony and that's why we are some of the luckiest people in the world, because we know what it feels like to be a family, we know what it feels like when a family member leaves for either an uncertain amount of time or indefinitely. We try to comfort those in the family who have gone through a time of loss and we congratulate those who have accomplished something that they have always aimed for. We continue to welcome our new members with open arms and open minds and that is one thing that will never change no matter what. When someone leaves, we are divided. When we are divided, the song claims we fall. When we are divided, we gain more members. Thus, when we gain members, we slowly fall. LOGIC GET!
GIVEN that we refers to the predominance of Everypony, And thus referring to a majority rather than an entirety, What was said in this thread bears merit. However, The way the word we was used Makes it seems as though it refers to the site as a whole, And thus referring to a unanimously opinionated collective, Which in turn makes the statement ring false in my mind. (I must say, This reaction to a positive thread amuses me.)
