Aborel giggled as she prowled through the Everfree. "Timberwolves are fun to mess with!" she said, turning to the strange crystal cat next to her. "wouldn't you agree, Crystalf?" the cat meowed sullenly. "oh, come on! it's not that bad!"
Crystalf hissed. "oh, it could have been worse!" Aborel snorted. "at least I didn't make you a porpoise" she floated lazily along the path. "I like crystals. they provide temporary amusement, due to their rather fascinating patterns" she said idly. "your patterns are ever-changing. that way, you'll never get boring" she smiled. (I felt like adding to the opening, since I had time)
Nearby, Discord wandered through the forest, wearing a safari outfit, and idly bending trees and plants out of his way with his magic. He yawned, and looked around for anything that might be the cause for Fluttershy's missing animals; They'd been disappearing into the forest for about a week now, and Discord had finally agreed to see if he could find out why. "Urgh... friendship can be so boring sometimes..." He complained to himself, slumping exaggeratedly.
a flock of squirrels attempted to fly past him, while a lot of birds tried to climb trees nearby. some of them were made of crystal or wood. "you know, I should try messing with the Ursas!" said a voice in the distance
Discord looked at the creatures, then frowned and looked down at his claw, to see if it was making chaos on it's own again. As he was stood there inspecting it, he heard a voice, and sensed something up ahead, something... interesting... Discord didn't want to be spotted by whatever it was that was talking, so he sent his body off to some other dimension, leaving only his eyes. The floated through the forest, looking this way and that, until the stopped, seeing something; It looked a little like a manticore, only black, with a dragon's head, and various other mismatched limbs. Could it really be... another draconequus? The eyes futilely tried to blink, then the rest of Discord's body reappeared, taking out his eyes and rubbing them on his chest, to make sure they weren't doing chaos on their own too. He couldn't quite believe what he was seeing...
"although, messing with animals is getting kind of boring, wouldn't you say Crystalf?" Aborel said, turning the nearby trees into statues of fish with a wave of her hand
Discord put his eyes back in and blinked a couple of times. The creature was still there. He was behind them, and they still hadn't seen him yet, so he decided to introduce himself. He looked at the fish statues, then chuckled and made himself invisible before turning them all into statues of himself.
Aborel blinked, then turned around. "who messed with the statues? actually they look much better now" she said, shrugging. she snapped her fingers and crowns appeared on all of them. "even better!" she giggled, snaking around one of them, then floated back along the path, searching for the unseen newcomer
Discord floated up to one of the statues, and tilted his head at the crown. He chuckled quietly, and put the crown on his own head, before disappearing the statue, and taking it's place, pulling the same pose.
Aborel blinked and took a second look at the statue. "well hello!" she said, changing the surrounding statues to sculptures of her. "how are you? and who? I'm not good at remembering such things" she giggled
"Discord, Lord of Chaos," Discord announced, grinning and putting his paw on his chest, dramatically, "And I am curious... who are you?"
"I'm Aborel. I don't have a fancy title like you. at least, I don't think I do" she said, frowning, then shrugged. "Crystalf! come say hi" the cat hissed at Discord as it walked over
Discord looked at the cat, then clicked his talons, trapping it in a wicker box, complete with a carrying handle, before turning back to Aborel. "Aborel, you say? A pleasure, I am sure," He said, taking her timberwolf paw and kissing it.
she giggled as crystalf sliced through the basket and jumped out. "it's nice to meet you too! I was starting to get bored before you appeared" she said, smiling, then turned back to the forest, frowning. "hm......" the leaves became silk
Discord watched what she did, and hopped down off the statue, smiling. "I must admit, I had thought I was the only draconequus in Equestria... How is it we've never met before, Miss Aborel?"
Discord looked taken aback, raising his eyebrows so far they actually left his face. "Two hundred years!? And you don't know much?! My dear, what have you been doing all this time?"
she smiled. "having fun, of course! although, it's rather hard to learn things from ponies who's town has come to life. they never feel like talking. don't know why.........."
Discord frowned; turning towns to life? Surely he would have heard something about that... heck, he most likely would have been blamed for it! "Hmm... you haven't been messing with dimensional portals, have you?" He asked, slashing one open in the air next to them as an example.
she frowned, then shrugged. "might have. but I'm pretty sure this is where I first came into existence. although, if that's a portal, I might have spent about 5 minutes here before leaving."
