Well Hasbro have had some rather unusual film adaptations - Clue was great, I'll say that, but now there's G.I. Joe, Monopoly, and now, even Battleship! It's kind of inevitable that My Little Pony will be next, especially thanks to Friendship is Magic. The question is, how will they go about it? I'm sure live-action or CGI would be nauseating! However, in it's current animated glory...

Looks like we're going to have a little speculation right about now.

I hope and believe it will be in the same style as the show. There is literally not a single reason why they should do otherwise.
If the film is made by the same team as the show, like a really big episode, it will be awesome. However, if they hire completely new people, I can imagine it being a disaster.

Just my 2 cents, keep the change.

    I'm having a difficult time imagining a live-action MLP......nope, don't have a clue...

If a movie were to exist it has to be the same art style, otherwise only little girls and their parents would still want to go. I want to go into the movie theatre and see a brony in every seat. That would be an amazing experience. As a side note, I saw the Battleship teaser and I want to point out 3 things:

1.) Liam Neeson is trolling them, I'm sure of it.
2.) The alien ship attacked with pegs.....no I'm not kidding, look at the teaser again and it shows pegs smashing into the battleship.
3.) If the lines "you (they've) sunk my battleship!" are not uttered the movie is a complete failure with nothing redeeming about it- not even Liam Neeson.

    MLP movie?

I can see it being live action.

Start out as cartoon, then suddenly have celestia turn them all into humans.

Then everyone has facedesks and lulz at the plot (or lack thereof), in the move and on the actresses, respectively.

CGI Flash drawn MLP FiM 90 min epic episode with lots of writers, and an interesting story. That's all I am going to say.

    You KNOW she'd do it.

If they ever do go through with a movie, it probably won't ever be aired here. :c

Of course, since it's a small local movie theater, we could always wait for six year old girls' birthdays and hope they want to celebrate at the theater. Aaahh, that sure would be creepy. My friend would undoubtedly steal some cake. :/

They made movies for Foster's Home for Imaginary friends and The Powerpuff Girls. I wouldn't be surprised at all if they made one for MLPFiM.

Ask any cartoon over the past 10 or so years:
After the movie it's essentially dead

For that reason I'd be HIGHLY wary of any full length movie to come out of it

This is true. Very true. I'd take season 30 over a film any day.

    Michael Bay directs:

Numerous pan shots of various items to show you're not on earth anymore. Some are interesting, but we'll never see them again.

Twilight Sparkle: Ah, Spike! What a lovely day here in Ponyville!

Spike: Ohmigod, Twilight! Look! Something dangerous is coming!

Twenty or thirty minutes of explosions, ponies running around, things look grim. Mane six gather together, mostly by accident as if this is the first time they've ever met,Twilight announces she knows what's wrong, and knows how to get the secret McGuffin to save the day.

An hour of explosions, LOUD noises, minor drama, supposed suspense and weird decisions, then its over. Oh, and the ponies are CGI with humans who serve no real purpose, and it's in 3D, for no apparent reason.

    M. Night Shaylaman (spelling?):

Apparently normal episode of MLP, and at the end, Lauren Faust wakes up, saying, "What a great idea for a cartoon!" Then Twilight Sparkle wakes up, saying, "What a weird dream." Then we wake up, saying, "Why'd I spend $18 on that?!"

A day where I spend money on a dream is the day that I accuse blasphemy at the government.

    MLP: The Movie

    Cue mane 6 genderbended.
    Attatch machine guns.
    Repeat step 2 as necessary.
    Proceed to Rambo.

    I WOULD WATCH THIS.
