I think the Meet-Up Discussion is great! But, perhaps it would be a decent idea to put a sub-forum that is for finding bronies near you. So people can see who on the site is around them, so the Meet-Up Discussion isn't clogged with any of those posts. Unless you want it to be, and that was the intention in which case, this would be a pretty invalid idea. xD
I'm assuming that the meet-up discussion sub-forum covers that. Meeting up and finding people are sort of similar.
^I'm going to say I'm with B-Dog on this one. I'm not dismissing the idea, we'll see how it goes but I do think it seems unnecessary at present.
