Do you draw scenes? A great way to practice for someone of your abilities could be to look around at some of the RPs and attempt to draw a scene.
I'll give it a go but I'm not to hot on doing BGs, mostly since they take foreverrrr and I end up changing it a lot Any specific scenes you'd like to see?
I hate backgrounds too. That's why all mine are so bland. :derpe: Depends on what level of action you want me to conjure. If you want combat, you could just make a flashy pretty background without worrying about actual stuff. I don't have much recent though. A simple undertaking without much background would be an image of some of the agents in the Order of Golden Lightning RP headed on their way to a destination. One with a background would be Silver talking to the Bookshop owner in Andalusian Heights. Then there's another RP where there's a Tikbalang smashing Twilight in the hip... Then there's one where a party is fighting a giant spider that's causing them to hallucinate horrible visions. Etc, etc, etc... There's some sci-fi ones too.
Thank you SO much for the scene idea, I finished watching Tangled and got this idea to draw ponies celebrating the return of Princess Luna with lanterns. c: It's unfinished, I've only been working on it for 15 minutes or so but I figured I'd show you guys a preview. Edit: Fixed le uploading issues, just going to be posting drawings on Furrypile now, I wish I had found the site sooner. <3 (I still wish this forum wasn't so limiting, noobs like me can't figure out how to work with that!)
Actually, I do all my uploading to FurryPile. I know that sounds weird, but you can actually sign up for their uploader without being a member, and it doesn't cut your image quality. I am a noob to sculpting, so his glasses aren't there...but he has small rounded glasses. I also forgot to paint on his freckles. Since you might not be able to tell in the picture, his coat is a pale skintone type color, his mane is brownish red, and his eyes are brown. His cutie mark is a game controller, "sorry" board game piece, and a trading card. I hope this is okay. I've never requested art before... Heh...><
