i have noticed that in every episode of mlp that you see sweet apple acres, the apple trees have apples on them even though that in the episode before all of the apples was bucked/destroyed/eaten or something like that. And in lesson zero twillight says that she has been sending a letter to the princess every week. does that meen that applejack (who is an earth pony) can grow stuff super fast? perhaps. does this mean that every earth pony can do this? maybe. this would explain why we only see one farm in ponyville, if applejack can make hundreds (if not thousands) of apples i one week there would be no need for someone else to grow apples too, right? so perhaps earth ponys does have some magic of their own. ps,sorry for any misspells. i am from sweden and i am terrible at english
I do not think the episodes ordering is necessarily in chronological order. I've actually been trying to figure out a timeline myself, but are you sure in every episode we see the farm we see apples? Like does Apple Family Reunion show them bucking apples? Does Winter Wrap-Up? Anyways, it could be they have a lot of different apples and they buck them during different parts of the year. Their farm is pretty big. I also wouldn't surprised if their apples do grow faster than normal because that's what Earth Pony magic is suppose to be. I also have no idea how apple farms and harvesting works so feel free to correct me.
how do you know it's not fall of next year? or maybe the running of the leaves is a later step in winter wrap up.
I think we have to assume that the seasons work more or less like they do in our world. So it would have to be The Running of the Leaves to signal in fall and Winter Wrap-Up to signal in Spring. I think Twilight has been living in Ponyville for just over a year, since she arrived on a Summer Sun Celebration and season 4 started on another Summer Sun Celebration.
maybe winter doesn't get rid of the leaves, that's why the running of the leaves is so important. if winter is just gonna get rid of the leaves for them then they wouldn't need to run them off. I think we can't assume seasons work the same for them. seeing as how pegasuses decide weather patterns. not like it is for us.
Well, based on what has happened in the show we know they have at least four seasons: Summer Sun Celebration - Summer Running of the Leaves - Fall Winter Wrap-Up - End of Winter, Start of Spring. We know that despite not being able to grow anything they find it beneficial to have a winter with snow. Applejack is worried about getting through the winter in Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000 and the Winter Wrap-Up Song suggests that winter lasts 3 months (like ours). I think the ponies can control the weather but they operate according to some kind of schedule. So far, there seems to be nothing to indicated that their seasons act differently than ours except that they are manually changed rather than nature doing it for them. Heck, I mean day and night works the same and those are controlled.
