...or more specifically, why would you want to own My Little Pony merchandise.
I understand liking the show, I like it myself, but I'm simply baffled as to why anyone would want a Pony in their possession.
Furthermore, what do you do with your merchandise once you have it bought it?
Do you play with them? Do you set up scenes? Do you act out scenes from the show?

    Sincerely
A Confused Fan of the Show

I believe it's just personal preference to buy merc of MLP:FiM I do not own any of the merc, but that is mainly because I'm low on cash.

As to the second part of the question I will let others answer. I do hope this answers your question somewhat.

Speaking just for myself, I would like to get some toys, not act out scenes or anything like that, but to set on my computer or bookcase, and just admire. I'm not one of those to keep my toys boxed up. I have a few other toys from my other favorite shows, namely Star Wars.

They also make an interesting conversation topic whenever some one comes over.

    Heh, heh, heh!

    This is very true^

And also the toys, shirts, etc. help you express who you are.

    Helps express who you are?
I'm not quite sure I understand. Does the show mean that much to you, that it's a personality-defining thing for you?

A person's personality is partially determined by their experiences, no? And for me, watching MLP:FiM was/is an enjoyable experience. So I don't think it would be inaccurate to say that watching MLP:FiM has helped define my personality.

I own a few MLP clothes and toys. They're fun and interesting to me, so that's why I own them.

Also, as Dwynter said, they could make interesting conversation pieces.

I see, what with the pleasure of collecting. Now, I'm a regular watcher of a show called Futurama, though I don't own any merchandise for that either. It simply doesn't have enough impact on my day to day life.
To me, the show is nothing but a pastime pleasure, I guess I'm simply not religious enough about my viewing habits.
Is the show such a big part of normal life to you? I'm truly curious.

The show, in certain ways mind you, does show me what the world could possibly be like if we were all united in a single cause. Though I have a feeling there are better examples out there.

I bought the toys because I liked the show so much, I figured why not. I like batman so I bought batarangs. Real ones to. I bought the pony brushables, they just sit on my desk. I don't anything with them.

I also have 10 shirts, A tube of toothpaste and Window decals.

I would love to know which part of the show you draw these conclusions from, since I sure as heck can't find nothing relating to some sort of Utopia.

I can't tell if you're genuinely confused, or just being snarky. That's his personal interpretation of the show, which he is free to make, just as I'm free to interpret Vincent Van Gogh's "Starry Night" any way I choose.

Please tell me the toothpaste has a picture of Colgate on it.

I'm genuinely interested in what plot points makes him draw that conclusion.
You can interpret all you want, but if you can't back your interpretation up, it ain't worth diddly.

If your talking to me. The whole show, I love everything about it . If it wasn't for MLP, I'd still be the (for lack of a better word) Mean, grumpy, angry pants.

Nope, It has Pinkie, Dash, AJ and Rarity.

I don't own any toys, but I do have two shirts coming my way.

And no, I don't see any taboo in owning MLP toys. What's wrong with having figurines of a show you love?
Even if someone would really play with them, I wouldn't have any problems with that. It's not up to me to tell others what they can and what they can't play with.

"Playing violent and gore-filled computer games is fine, but you really shouldn't play with little girl toys, because that's just weird, mmkay?"
No, I think using your imagination is a good an productive thing, even if you get some weird looks from strangers.

I want to wear these shirts, not only because I love the show, but also because I want to express some of the things I stand for: I want to see room for everyone to be themselves.
This show isn't very personality-defining to me, but has messages I GREATLY support.

Write a fan fic. Imagination at it's best.

I'm the opposite, you guys would not have liked me that much before MLP changed some of the negative thoughts I had. I really wasn't a happy person.

Where on earth would anyone get pony toothpaste? Sounds pretty cool though.

I do not buy toys myself (yet), but I do understand why some people do. And I must admit, I would like to own a accurate figure of Rainbow Dash.

Utopian? What in earth are you talking about. Equestria is clearly a totalitarian monarchy :Trollestia: .
