Well, most of my friends now unofficially know that I am a brony. I ponyrolled one called Logan. Later that day, I was texting someone called Corey. When Corey refused to apologize for something he said, I sent a picture of Twilight Sparkle saying "You better be sorry". He responded with a picture of Dora and the typed caption "N000000000000". Well, I blew it. Completely forgot secrecy, and sent him a picture of Rainbow Dash saying "Wat". He responded with "I'm scared that you have all these pony pics." My alibi appeared to work, but at Cub Camp today during lunch, Corey danubes over to he station I was working at and says to my friends Tyler and Ross "[NAME OBFUSCATED] likes My Little Ponies." Now, everyone, should I see this as an issue? It's bugging me since I have absolutely no idea how they (Especially Tyler and my rival Nick) will react to this. However, I tried converting a friend that I didn't meet in the BSA, and he doesn't sound too hooked onto he show. I'll be checking in on him soon. Does anyone know what I should do?
Don't afraid of anything? Really though, it depends on your age group. Younger kids won't understand, and will blankly mock you. Older people might be better or worse, depending on internet usage. If it will ruin your social life, then deny it, say that you just had two pictures you thought you would send in a row. If you have really good, mature friends, then you can tell them. I told my friends that heavily use the internet, and they didn't care. One frquents the radio, actually. It's all about maturity.
Just who the hay do they think you are? You are you. If they have a problem with that, it's their problem. If they can't handle the pony, too bad for them. It's their choice what they think of you, and your choice whether you react to that or no. With the cat out of the bag, I wouldn't deny it, I would just brush it off. So what if you like ponies? It's a good show. If they don't belive you, and refuse to watch the show, their loss. Choose your own path, no matter how hard it is to do so! If you don't then you're just another person, not you. Choice is the fundmanental trait of life, and everyone should have it. Sadly not many people realize this, but again, their loss. And if losing your social life is a big problem, then work hard to convert them and know that we are behind you, ready to help. If it's hard to believe in yourself, hard to think you can do this, believe in us who believe in you!
Don't deny anything! So you like My Little Pony. You aren't the only one - they can't compete with all the bronies around the world. Who cares what they think, in the end you'll always have us! But really... I'm a really hardcore ponyfan but also known for being a pretty tough girl in real... but that doesn't mean I can't be tough and not like MLP. Use ponies to your advantage... I don't know how, but you can do it! Even if it's fro slight trolling purposes ;D
Fah, I showed some kid the show to make him suffer (He wouldn't shut up about how bad he wanted to see Charlie the Unicorn). He didn't pay attention anyways, and if he sees me using youtube on my phone he now asks if I'm watching "My Little Unicorn". Also, I might convert my friend Ross, but I don't know if it will work out well.
Most I can say is if you think it's going to be that bad, just deny it. If it's not going to be too bad, just roll with it. If denying it won't work, find a brony friend, it's good too have friends in situations like that.
Otirrob, I made an attempt at converting one of my friends. He didn't hate the show and now accepts my bronyism, but he's not a brony. At least he respects me for it. But hey, he uses the Internet for more than Facebook, of course he has a nicer mindset. I'm debating whether I should keep it a secret anymore, because I pretty much already told someone I watched the show and she's bound to spread rumors.
I'd tell everyone before they have a chance to. If you tell everyone first, you can explain why you watch it, how you started watching it, and the sort. If your friend tells everyone first, there's a chance it will be tainted with bias. Anti-brony bias. Of course, I don't know these people personally, so I don't want to say too much.
public on my facebook like a boss. also on other sites I liked you can find sites of almost all characters (all I found on).
I'd announce it on FB if I 1: Had explained the fad to my friends 2: If my parents didn't stalk my FB Basically, if I don't explain the fad and don't hide from my parents, it won't end well.
My little bro is the only one that knows. I listen to Everypony Radio openly when he's around and even watch episodes on youtube. He spends a lot of time in my room because of the game systems in here. I let him play just about any time he wants as long as he keeps the volume down so I can listen to music. He watched a whole episode with me once, he didn't like it but he's never made fun of me for it...probably the only family member that wouldn't make fun of me for it. He's the greatest 13-year-old brother a girl like me could ask for
