Eris was running. Well... she wasn't so much running, as she was being chased by a mob of angry ponies; they seemed to have taken exception to her turning their homes into giant vegetables, and weren't in the mood to discuss it calmly. As she had managed to cause minor havoc in most of the towns in Equestria over the last week or so, and attracted the attention of the Princesses, she decided it was about time to take a break. A long break. Somewhere far away. She giggled as she ducked into an alley to fiddle with the device she had stolen from the stallion with the hourglass on his flank. He hadn't managed to get it working, but when she infused it with a little of her Chaos magic and pressed the button, a portal opened on the other side of the alley. Ah, this was much easier that ripping the fabric of time and space with her claws! The noise of the portal opening, however, had alerted the mob as to her hiding spot, and they came charging at her again. She giggled once more, and turned the ground they were running on into treacle. "Too late!" She called out, grinning at them as she strolled towards the portal. "You will forever remember this as the day you almost caught Eris th- whoa!" She didn't notice the young unicorn stallion running round the corner into the alley, and tripped over him, sending them both tumbling into the portal, which immediately closed behind them.
"Hey!" Circuit shouted. "Watch where you're- Oh crap!" He looked up and saw the chaos goddess Eris in front of him.
Eris picked herself up, and rubbed her nose, having fallen on it when she tripped over. She looked at the unicorn, and raised an eyebrow at his words. "Well, nice to meet you too. I take it you've heard of me?" She asked, looking at him. "If not, here's a picture of a herd of me," She added, giving him a picture of a crowd of Erises, and chuckling.
Eris shrugged, looking around. "I don't know yet; where's the fun in travelling if you know where you're going?" She Looked about at the sand dunes and distant rocky cliffs. "My powers of deduction tell me it's some kind of desert," She added, grinning.
"I don't know, I didn't design the place!" Eris said, defensively. She teleported them both to the edge of one of the cliffs, and scanned the horizon, then pointed at a large cluster of low white-ish buildings in the distance. "Maybe the ponies who live there can tell us. It looks like a friendly enough place," She suggested, before looking at him again. "Are you going to tell me your name, or am I going to have to climb into your mind and find it myself?" She asked, smiling slightly ominously.
Eris smiled at him a little sympathetically, and offered her paw. "Well Circuit Breaker, I'm Eris, pleased to meet you, I'm sure."
Eris shook his hoof, then looked up at the suns Circuit had mentioned. "Two suns? Hmm, Celestia would love this place, but I'm not sure I do; let's get down there and see if we can find something to charge this thing up," She said, holding up the portal device. "That tie-wearing fool only built it with enough charge to carry you one way!"
Circuit nodded. He suddenly heard a voice call for someone named Luke. "Who names their foal Luke?" he asked.
Eris shrugged. "I once met a foal named Blanket," She said, starting into the distance as she thought back.
Eris looked at the device. "I honestly have no idea." She grinned. "Fixing things isn't really my forte..."
