(Click on the picture for a bigger version) That's right. The 4 official sketches by Lauren Faust all got sell'd, and the final amount of money is - $15,451. It is brilliant that 4 sketches grossed in so much cash/money. And here's how much every pony has grossed in: Twilight Sparkle: $6,200 Pinkie Pie: $4,050 Applejack: $3,050 Derpy Hooves: $2,151 I'm actually surprised that Derpy has grossed in the least, looking at the statistic and how everything started, but oh well... Here's the link to the blog Entry on Equestriadaily.com Tell us what you think of this - If you think more money should have been grossed in, if more than enough has been grossed in, and so on...
I'm just surprised there wasn't a Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Fluttershy etc Where's the money going anyhow, charity?
Well the reason the Twilight one ended up so expensive was probably because the prices sort of accumulated over time, each one getting progressively more expensive as more and more people realized people were willing to bid more on them. I'm kinda curious what the winning bidders will do with the sketches
Well... It's pretty much all up to the popularity of the show. What I'm curious about is who actually bought them. I wonder if Hasbro bout them or some of them and is going to hang them up on the walls.
Nah, no. It would be stupid to do that. I mean, they can just tell Lauren to draw them new pics, no problem. It must be rich people who were willing to give charity.
I'm guessing original as in new, created just for the occasion. I doubt she'd have an official/original derpy sketch seeing as that was more a product of the fandom then the show, so yeah these were definitely made for this.
Wasn't Derpy a pony that was in the show, but then a brony found her and then the whole thing started with Derpy?
Derpy was one of the many background ones The trademark derp face resulted from an animation mistake, since she originally wasn't supposed to have her face show in that scene (it was originally planned to be covered) Since then, it's more or less a running joke from an animator
