Android Pros: •There's and Android app for that. Always. •Powerful, /open-source/ •Incompatible apps omitted from view on the Market iOS Pros: •Minimalist •Simple •Very stable •Sleek Android cons: •100% third-party apps; usually unstable in some way •Designed with a tech expert in mind iOS cons: •Lower generations VERY limited •Jailbreaking is required for most of the better third-party tech support (with the sacrifice of Apple's tech support) on older models •"This App is Incompatible with your iPhone" on incompatible apps, which are shown alongside compatible apps Feel free to add to any side.
Hmm. I've noticed this with both of these. The main ting I noticed is that Android has tons of free apps. Apple does not, however like you said those apps can be quite tricky on Android. Personally I prefer Android. I like the fact that you can design and make apps yourself. I've always liked programming. AND most android products are cheaper than their Apple counterparts.
I'm actually posting this from my Android phone. So you know what I went with. I'm not a huge fan off Apple's interface. It feels like it's designed for a kid or something. I also like how the Android market is set up over the App store. But at the end of the day... Different strokes for different folks =) Sent from my Inspire 4g using Tapatalk
I love the way Apple designs iOS, but I also love how you can stick any random app on the Android Market. Both are equal in my eyes.
Last year I got a phone with Android software and I really enjoy it. It's my first smart phone. I generally don't like how Apple secures their products from their customers.
That's my main reason for not owning an iPhone. The iOS is very sleek and polished, but locked down in a way that Android isn't, of course unless you jailbreak it. My first and current smartphone has Android on it, and I'm quite content with it so far. I'm neutral with the whole Apple vs Google situation. Both have their benefits and their faults.
Thus, people jailbroke to remove said DRM. Also, if you install Bootlace, free from thr BigBoss repo, it allows you to install Android Froyo 2.2 on your iPhone. EDIT: It costs $100 to release your own iPhone software... for a year Sent from my resurrected iPhone 3G using Tapatalk
