Considering Saint Seiya failed, I've been working on an idea, a better idea to IC, and add more detail to the descriptions. Here it is. To put it simply, this is a anime crossover story involving a great anime war which is between five houses, DBZ, Bleach, Naruto, One Piece, and Yugioh. Each main house is lead by it's anime, but it also has several animes under it as well. This is just an example of the visulization of the anime world that this is. House Details: DBZ - Color Brown Known Subdivisions: Saint Seiya Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Fist of the North Star Yu Yu Hakusho Hajime No Ippo History: DBZ, the oldest and the longest house to ever exist in anime land, is a financial powerhouse. The most successful of the five at making money, this one also has a lot of fight in it. The massive issue is that the heads here think they're so untouchable that they don't need to worry about anyone invading, so their borders are laxed. However, due to a charismatic leader, the populus fully believes anything he'll say and are willing to do anything for him. Naruto - Color Green Known Subdivisions: Rurouni Kenshin Samurai Champloo Inuyasha Fairy Tail Avatar History: Part of the Naruto/DBZ/Yugioh alliance, they have recently started adopting Sword-Based groups to combat Bleach directly and protect it's borders. A former member of the Bleach and One Piece group, they actually swapped sides during the last great war, citing respect for the strong fighters and their willingness in battle coming out of DBZ's side. They occasionally send help to Yugioh to help support that border. Bleach - Color Blue Known Subdivisions: Sword Art Online Log Horizon Soul Eater Full-Metal Alchemist .hack History: Currently only in an alliance with One Piece, they were the one most hurt by Naruto's defection from their group, considering they had probably the closest house relationship in history with Naruto. The two groups were brothers, and with Naruto's betrayal, the whole border between the Naruto and Bleach lands is chaos. Fights rage there on a regular basis as the two houses grasp for any sort of advantage in land and resources. One Piece - Color Red Known Subdivisions: Cowboy Bebop Outlaw Star Gundam Trigun History: The original group of OP/Bleach/Naruto was all aligned against DBZ to knock them out of the equation to rule anime land together in peace, with a new generation at the helm instead of the old guard. One Piece took over the space western area of the land, usurping Gundam for the house. Some Gundam people still have a deep hatred for the house, but a lot of noticable heroes have gave their support to this venture. After the last war, Naruto left the group, leaving One Piece and Bleach bewildered. Yugioh - Color Yellow Known Subdivisions: Pokemon Beyblade Duel Masters Medabots History: What used to be a major house, is no longer such. The Yugioh house has only about 20% of the finances it had a decade or so back. Several bad plans made by the house's head have led to this point. Even though they are in such a weakened state, they have allied with the head of the DBZ house mainly because of their former history together. Recently they have been assaulted by Bleach and One Piece, both of which would rather see this old house finally die and take their land to raid the border of DBZ directly. Middle Zone(Currently under control by DBZ): The five houses are continuously in combat for the middle of the world, as that is a place of historical significance, as it was the first city settled in Anime Land back in the early days. It's a spot mainly where Choujin(Kinnikuman), make their home, none of them being a part of a house. Their time as allies of any house was a thing long long ago. Some of them do work with the houses though, as mercenaries. What kind of rp is this? It combines some of a lot of genres, action, adventure, sci-fi, other things as well. Some life stuff as well sprinkled in as well. Everyone will eventually gather together to form a group, of course, but that won't be for a while. You'll make OC characters based in regular areas of anime, everyone will be balanced off 'power level-wise' as OC's to prevent godmodding. You'll work as part of whatever faction you're a part of to gain and take land from other factions, your paths as rpers will cross often and on a regular basis. Expect a lot of twists and turns in the story to make things interesting.
Not having this debate. For the sake of it, it's anime-inspired, and I was asked to have it on the list.
It is good sir. I'm just giving the basics behind the world and stuff, haha. I do need to figure out what else I'm going to go with before I make the Character Sheet topic. Anyone else got questions?
Killstreak's kind of got the idea. The middle of the map is going to have an arena where land is won/lost. Of course, that's not the only place that land is won/lost, as there is a bit of 'underhanded play' going on at the borders on occasion. I would have stated this beforehand but I was still bouncing around the idea in general. Truthfully, there's going to be three specific phases of the rp, but I'm going to keep quiet about that.
Ok, that answer a few questions. But how is the characters going to work? You say that everyone will "make OC characters based in regular areas of anime", but what does that mean?
Yeah, that is a good question. I think that unless you want to go all out there, do a separate character sheet for each different anime that was listed, then I would just go for the common sheet: Name: Nickname: Age: Gender: Looks: Personality: History: Talents: Abilities: weapon name: weapon looks: about your weapon: Strengths: Weaknesses: Side Infoanything on the side about your character or anything you just wanna throw out there or inform us about that you were not able to in the character sheet?)
By that I mean you're going to make a character based in a house, that is from either the head series of the house or one of the subdivision series(or any anime, really, and I'll just tell you what house I'd put it in.)
Well, for starters, everyone's just going to have base forms. Also, there's probably going to be magical properties at work inside the arena to buff the weaker combatants to a level which they can fight somewhat on the same level as others. Not enough so a random citizen can run in and not die, but good enough that a decent fighter won't be overwhelmed by a DBZ character.
