Thought I would ask. I spent 8 years in and was on break to finish my Master's degree but due to disability I am now out permanently.

I was a 2W2X1 (Nuclear Weapons Specialist) in the Air Force and left a Staff Sergeant.

    So any others out there?

I'm way too much of a coward and pacifist to do that.

I second this. I could never fight, and I'm a Quaker so pacifism is my belief...

My Uncle Adam was stationed in Iraq for 4 years, my uncle Joe in Afghan for 3.
Both have come home, have wives, and children.
To my knowledge, they aren't bronies, though.

It takes a strong person to be a pacifist. Don't let others get you down about that.

When I was younger, straight out of high school, I enlisted in the Marine Corps. In retrospect, it was a poor decision. For better or worse (probably better), I was discharged from recruit training after discovering I was very allergic to fire ants during Basic Warrior Training. My MOS contract was 617X, helicopter crew chief.
