I'm not very good at coloring or anything. but these are my own ocs and ponies that I've spent hours working on. I dont know really how to use the attatchment stuff yet i dont even know if its showing up.... so i'll just paste the links to the pics. http://ryukitsume.deviantart.com/art/Peach-Dumpling-Hijinx-470504866 http://ryukitsume.deviantart.com/art/Snow-Dust-MLP-353186134 http://ryukitsume.deviantart.com/art/Harvest-Moon-MLP-353184529
Posting pics is easy. It's just copy and paste. Concerning your art, I'd say they all look pretty good. Especially the Argonians. My only suggestion is draw your sketches a little bit lighter, so the finished product looks cleaner.
Yeah, so far so good. Seem to have the basic hang of pwny. It's really all about practice and to keep going and evolving into your own complete style. My style has evolved over many years to where it's at now, and it's still always changing.
Cool! They look nice. If you want suggestions I can find a few though. For some reason snow Dust's ears make me think more of cats than ponies. It may be because of how thick they are + the shape of the curve is a little bit straighter than it should be I think. Also the indent is a bit pronounced and I think the pink inside is part of what makes it cat-like. Also his ears seem to be a different blue than the rest of his body, is that intentional? It kind of makes it look like he's wearing costume animal ears. The eyes are adorable. The face may be a little round and large for a nose of that style.. though it seems like that may just be your style on all of your ponies. I personally can't do anatomy, I'm just trying to point out things that may help. I'm wondering, I just got photoshop for Christmas, and I'm trying to learn how to vector/use the pen tool. Would it insult you if I tried making a vector for you and attempting to show what I'm suggesting? I'm actually looking for things to make lineart of anyway. I kind of want to try it and show you, but if it upsets you that I did at all I can remove it and delete it entirely even. Also I have one quick question about Harvest Moon (I love the name and colors). I just want to ask, is the back of the far wind and the curled over back part of the close wing supposed to look like different patterns? Are they different, or is that just showing distance, or something? Mostly wondering. Also is a "fall alicorn" supposed to be part owl, or in some way a pony species that is different from a standard alicorn? It looks rather different, but I'm guessing that's the intent. It's interesting! EDIT: I attempted to show my suggestions. If I went back I would make the back of his chin less round still, but otherwise I kind of like how this came out. Again if this upsets you at all that I tried this let me know and I'll remove it from the site. If you want me to entirely delete it that's fine too. Anyway, as I've said I'm new to using the pen tool. I'm also not great at shading, but show style ponies don't have a lot of shading. That aside I still made a suggested line art, mat coloring, and shaded version. If you don't mind, and you like them feel free to do whatever you want.
Thanks for the awesome lineart of Snowwy!!! And for harvest moon she's actually modeled after Gypsy Horses! she's very small though. And the wings are messed up on her, i had no clue how to draw them. she was actually my first OC. You know how Celestia brings the sun, luna brings the moon, cadence brings love, Twilight guards magic? I thought, through the laws of magic, an alicorn must bring the seasons and thats how i came up with Harvest. Thanks for your praise Thanks again for the awesome lineart of Snowwy!!!! it looks fantastic
Oh, I'm glad you like it! I just looked up gypsy horses. I haven't seen anything like that before. They are pretty cool! From what we've seen from the events of Winter Wrap Up and the Running of the Leaves tradition, it seems seasonal changes are a huge community effort. That said actually getting the leaves to turn into their fall form, making it easier to get them to come off during The Running of the Leaves could be the work of an alicorn. It is an interesting first OC. Keep up with the drawing ^_^ Also if you would like other art go ahead and ask, though I'm not positive if I'll have time or not. Things will likely get busy again soon.
Sure, I could try when I get the chance. Would you like it sketched and colored in marker, colored pencel/twist up crayon, or drawn and vectored over? (I can only use pen tool over pictures so far. I also got a tablet for Christmas with my photoshop that I haven't got to use much at all yet. I could try using that but I'm not sure that will come out well at all.. >_< ) Here are some traditionally colored things for people: http://www.everypony.com/forums/showthread.php?14418-Drawings-for-anypony/page9
Here's a start, don't worry I know that that's a crappy photo but it shouldn't matter when I'm done, hopefully. Here is a preview. They are all helping.. (2 sets of wings giving a boost for speed and 2 ponies doing magic, though they had to be a bit creative to get that to work high in the air )
