Hey guys! Since I don't know anyone from Norway who could help me a bit, I thought it would be a good idea to ask around here. About the situation: For several years know I was thinking about moving out of the country I currently live in, and about a year ago I finally came to the conclusion that Norway would be the perfect fit. I made a list with things that are important, would be nice and aren't important at all and so on and well, Norway was (by far) the best choice for me. Besides, how can you not fall in love with the landscape? *g* So, since I got the last 1.5 years of my apprenticeship ahead of me, as well as two more years of making as much money as I can (because my apprenticeship is quite miserably paid to be honest) to have a start as clean as possible (in terms of costs etc) I still got plenty of time to plan things. Now, I' m a person who likes to plan. And probably also needs to plan. Because otherwise everything would mess up and I would end up anywhere but Norway. :derpe: And this is why I'm here today and ask for your advice, your experience (eg if you moved there yourself, or you had vacation there or whatever), your questions about my plans (because 4 eyes see more than 2). In short, I want me and my belongings to have moved to Norway in Fall 2018. Until then, I should have learned nynorsk to a certain level, I should have found a job and a flat/house/whatever possible to sleep in and I should have made enough money for a smooth start. Also, 2 trips to Norway are planned. Each at least a week long. One in spring 2016 and the other probably in 2017. I haven't done anything like this yet (obviously), and you can be sure that I will be extremely thankful for any help. Also, if you are in fact from Norway and don't have anything against it, I would thank you in person once the moving is done So, have a nice day (or evening) and thanks for reading! Hopefully this will get some answers
Well that sounds nice and all but you should at least visit Norway before making your mind up about something like this. Norway is expensive as ****. A coffe can cost as much as 23.73. Imagine what a flat or a house would cost. The food is so expensive that a lot of Norwegians that live near the border travels to Sweden just to buy food.
Hi, I know the prices for pretty much everything are higher than in many other countries, but I'm not afraid of that. Besides I don' t need much anyway, but that's just a side note *g* And yes, I will visit Norway to gather some first-hand experiences. That's already planned Thanks for your reply!
